I've been traveling for over a month now... make it stop

Also, please tell me the OP isn't getting public assistance right now.

You seem stuck on that, so I'll answer it for it.

TridenT is getting public assistance. Tons of it. He's getting so much he has a surplus. He uses it to buy video games to play all day.

Can someone give me a TLDR for this thread?

Young fellow fresh out of school can't find a high paying low hours job in a city he likes. The world hasn't noticed how special he is.
His new hobby appears to be promoting pedophilia over in the DC, because he wasn't quite enough of a pariah before.

This thread will be reborn when tt tanks the onsite interview... But you never know, maybe he will pull it of. Perhaps he's exactly what fb is looking for.

Dunno... some places just want like 5 people to interview but already have a person in mind, thus wasting your time and getting your hopes up. I experienced this myself a few times. Its alot like dating, you just have to be a good fit and all the skills and experience in the world might not make that happen because of the crazy biases going on behind the scenes. You could be overqualified because they want a cheap, clueless person or you could be underqualified because they expect some kind of guru to storm in a fix all their problems. Without an internal reference its hard to know WTF you are interviewing for, exactly. There aren't that many entry level jobs right now. So its tough.

Just go in and do your best. All the challenges in the end are worth it.

I assume he and Zuck are busy flying around to all the Lindy hot spots in the US?

Perhaps. He wasn't at the blues hot spot tonight, anyway.

I forgot how friendly (and attractive, lol) dancers are. I need to get out more often!

Most of the jobs I've worked at were like that actually. I just was lucky that the person in mind was me. :awe: They still have to make it official though and can't just hire someone without having a proper job posting. In some cases if someone with higher seniority applies they have to go with that person unless they have a good reason not to like lack of qualifications. Of course those rules vary from company to company.

Nah. The Zuck will peronsally interview him, and offer him no less than $100k on the spot. TridenT will downplay it a bit and Zuck will beg him to take the job, offering another $20k.

After 6 months of working for The Zuck, TridenT will be elevated to Senior Programmer, overseeing a team of 20 designers and programmers, getting a $50k raise.

Then, he will wake up from his dream and shoe the stray dog away from his cardboard box.

Accurate. I am interviewing for a senior position this week. It isn't at FB though.
