That's what I'm saying. All my vacations as a kid were during the summer, so it wasn't snow time. I was up near Boston about 4 years ago, it was cold, in the 40's during the day, but no snow fell; I think that was in March (or maybe May?). I've never had a job that required me to travel at random times (or any time, really). I've been to southern California twice, Georgia multiple times, North Carolina a few times, Kentucky once, etc., but never at the right time, apparently. I was up in Niagara Falls and Toronto last August, but again, wrong time of year. I've seen snow on top of mountains in the distance, but I didn't get to actually play in it.

Go to a ski resort, just take a week and do it. I can't imagine not playing in the snow at least once.

If all goes to plan, I'll be working in some western U.S. national park in the near future. They tend to get lots of snow, so it'll be unavoidable at some point 🙂

snow started at around 12:30 in gaithersburg.

oh, p.s., i'm going to be living in gaithersburg in a few weeks 😀

We almost had a green Christmas this year but we have maybe 2 feet or so of snow now. Pretty much all fell in December. Way below what we'd normally get but it's been declining in the past decade or so. 2 feet is enough in my books though, I'm not a kid anymore. With so little snow jumping off roofs or building giant snow forts is out of question so today's kids will just have to find something else to do, such as video games. 😛

i was looking in silver spring, but i couldn't find anywhere that was within my budget and allowed my dog... and wasn't run down.

I am 3 miles from Olney so I'm not too close to downtown silver spring area, but I agree, the apartments aren't cheap.

We're supposed to get 5-8 inches tomorrow with 25mph winds. Should be a fun day for me to work outside

has never snowed where i live down here in SoCal...hail once in a blue moon, but never fluffy snow.

I have seen snow in air in Miami and also San Diego (Kerney Mesa). Cold air upstairs with moisture is what it takes

Lifelong Floridian here. I'm 35 and have still never seen snow. Well, actually I think I've seen it falling here twice (flurries), but it was so light that it didn't even accumulate on anything.

Yea, it's snowed twice here in Daytona, but just flurries. We had sleet (I think it was 2yrs ago) that was 1/4" on my car, my brother didn't believe me so I had to send him a pic!
