It looks like Gov. Cuomo just got #metoo'ed

Yeah I would love to know who you think those fans are.

Not me for sure. Would love to see him out of a job.

That doesn't mean that the Trump response to COVID isn't a dumpster fire floating down a sewage river infested with radioactive eels.

Spot on. In the April-May-June era, when Covid was new, noone knew the extent to which it would be a real threat or not, doctors were (necessarily) pretty much trying things out as they go Cuomo's press conferences were necessary to preserve one's sanity when the other main information sessions were Trump's daily brag/worship sessions.

As far as being an arrogant asshole, well he is a New Yorker, isn't he?
I never understood the fuss, but I guess that's because I didn't watch many news conferences. As somebody else mentioned, Cuomo was rather disliked before COVID-19.

My lasting impression is of Gov. Cuomo and Mayor de Blasio swinging their dicks in a measuring contest over who had the power to shut down NYC. De Blasio took much of the blame for inaction, but the governor of NYS has sole authority over lockdowns. This was when NYC had by far the most severe outbreak in America, and CA and WA issued lockdown orders before New York did...

As for the accusation, the accuser alleges Cuomo repeatedly said whatever he said and that it was witnessed and she wasn't the only target. If all of that is true, then unlike with the GOP, Cuomo isn't getting any job promotions.

Both Cuomo and especially De Blasio gravely underestimated the threat and continued to do so for days or even weeks after it was obvious. His initial response was very bad.

After that I think he modeled leadership in a pandemic very strongly and did an excellent job. Doing a good job putting the fire out after you let it get out of control is better than nothing, but still bad!

None of that changes the fact that Cuomo was and is a corrupt shitbag.
