Ok, so real talk me. Reddit is saying that Oz is going to deliver Fetterman in a body bag after this debate.

I have such speculation on bots and briganding over there I don't know where truth is.

Fetterman looked pretty bad.

Fetterman looked pretty bad.

The takeaway bit will be how Oz said abortion should be between a woman, her Dr., and local political leaders. Fetterman addressed his stroke at the beginning, and Oz mocked him for it repeatedly. I don't see that swaying anyone to his cause. He looked like a bully.

That probably tilts toward accurate. I just wanted it to end. There was a particular moment where Fetterman Bidened harder than Biden. I swear there was a moment where he didn't say anything after a question for almost 10 seconds -- and that's after the delay where he could finish reading the prompter. The whole thing was brutal whereas Oz, correctness being irrelevant in this example -- he was concise and oozed confidence, while Fetterman was adrift. Like, if this was a 'fight,' it may as well been an adult kicking a 6 year old around. I kept waiting for Fetterman to have his moment, but that moment never came.

Basically this, it was painful to watch Fetterman in his silence after that question. And his response to the follow up about his 2018 quote about fracking, just brutal.

Snake oil salesman and grifters often swindle many. It’s like about 75 million simply don’t care anymore and it’s all about that #winning

I think he meant within most polls' margin of error so likely a coinflip.
I know that’s what he meant but that means he doesn’t understand statistics. 538 uses polling averages so the margin of error is much smaller. Also, people who do not understand statistics often think that any result within the margin of error is a coin flip but this is also false.

I’m hearing that voter turnout (early voting) is way up everywhere, along with new voter registration, plus the amount of new women voters is around 56%. This all bodes well for democrats but we’ll soon see.

You still don't get it?

That's part of the appeal these days.

Likely Oz's largest problem is that some PA republicans don't look at him and think "that's our bully". This is part of the reason his favorables have been stuck so low.

Carpetbagging can easily work in a lot of places. Pennsylvania is not super high on the list of locations I would pick however.

The IL GOP ads have gotten quite ridiculous in the last couple weeks or so, they directly say a vote for pritzker is a vote to end civilization and talk about the state descending into anarchy if democrats are elected, it's pretty stupid.

Disaster. Just a couple of months ago the GOP stopped funding the Senate race in AZ and now it's a toss up?? Despite Democrats outspending 2:1. And Masters, like JD Vance in Ohio, is mentored/funded by the likes of Peter Thiel ("I no longer believe freedom and democracy are compatible"), who in turn takes his inspiration from a guy named Curtis Yarvin who advocates for a US monarchy.

I guess that enough people yearn for an autocracy that it's inevitable. Maybe not 2022, or even 2024, but that's the kind of country our children will grow up in. Didn't something like 70% of GOP voters polled say they were ok with election deniers and other strongman tactics?

The fault is not in the stars, but in ourselves.

If he’s not trolling the guy definitely has some mental issues he should get help for. I can’t imagine living in a state of constant panic like that. Sounds terrible.

Same. I vacillate between concern trolling or some deeply rooted paranoia disorder for his/her posts.

No just a guy who's lost hope that this trajectory will change, and knows that he and his family will be one of the first ones on the chopping block when things go sideways.
