U.S. President Trump said that "a couple" of the 20 living hostages held by Hamas may have died in captivity. Former Israeli Military Intelligence chief Aharon Haliva said that he gave Prime Minister Netanyahu a "strategic warning" alerting him of war during the period leading up to October 7, according to recordings broadcast by Channel 12 News. The Hamas-run Gaza Health Ministry said that 61 Palestinians were killed over the last 24 hours. Protests calling for the release of the hostages and against the Netanyahu government are taking place across Israel.​

■ HOSTAGES/CEASE-FIRE: U.S. President Trump said that "a couple" of the living hostages may have died in captivity. "So now they have 20 [living hostages], but the 20 is actually probably not 20, because a couple may not be around any longer," Trump said at the Oval Office.
  • After Trump's comment, the Hostages and Missing Families Forum released a statement criticizing Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer – Israel's chief cease-fire negotiator – for failing to have updated them on their relatives' status, and called on the U.S. president to continue his efforts to secure their release.

  • Protesters for a hostage deal demonstrated outside the house in central Israel where far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir was staying on Saturday morning, accusing him of torpedoing a deal, with one protester telling him "You're a historic failure, a terrorist, a criminal."

It’s so much worse. They literally fired the second missile *on the exact stairwell* known to be used by media to get wifi and cell data coverage in order to file their reports.

“This incident is under investigation” just like the other 200 times they attacked journalists.
