He says 2 weeks but with immense Israeli pressure and his flip-flopping lunacy could well be in 2 days

I think, based on other indicators (diplomatic exodus, etc.), it'll be sooner.

Counterpoint: I can't recall anything that he's ever attached the "two weeks" deadline to that ever came to fruition. It's like a running joke with him.

Apparently there are doubts amongst Pentagon officials over the effectiveness of GBU-57s in destroying Irans Fordow nuke facility. And that a tactical nuke may be needed to do the job. And that may be figuring into Trumps hesitancy on whether to strike or not.

Good. Wars of aggression should cost the aggressor.

If Trump goes along with this the "no Kings" protest will look like a joke. From the link HomerJS posted:

Even though new polling indicates that a majority of Americans oppose U.S. military action in Iran, only 37 members of Congress have supported anti-war resolutions that are currently before the House and Senate, according to one count, as per a report by Common Dreams.

Gotta keep that AIPAC funding right? Meanwhile:

Indeed. Tactical nukes are not off the table. Insane. I bet Putin is also salivating at this.

Given the geology of Fordow the MOP (even a few of them) could well be insufficient to reach the centrifuge hall. So the remaining options are to go in on the ground or use B61s if you really want to get rid of it. Neither is very attractive and the possibilities for blowback are gigantic.

Hearing rumors that they're talking about it being sufficient to just completely destroy any ingress/egress points.

It would do the trick for the main portals I'm sure. But the Iranians would just come back and dig it out eventually.

I doubt that Trump would use a tactical nuke.
Not sure. He's been dying to use one on something for years! I absolutely wouldn't put it past him.
I also wouldn't put it past him to use this as another "emergency" so that he can suspend more normal rules and regulations that he's finding are hindering him!

It should be noted that even talking out Fordow might be futile since I would bet my 401K that the regime operates smaller clandestine sites with their latest centrifuges. The newest models are far more efficient at separating isotopes so you need a lot less of them so the effort is more easily hidden. Fordow itself wasn't discovered by the west until it was nearly complete and ready to receive its centrifuges.

A tactical nuke is perfect. We'll announce it ahead of time, so nobody will retaliate, then we can claim the uptick in radiation is definitely from the nuclear facilities we definitely destroyed. Confirmed by the US and Israel. No 3rd party inspectors allowed in, of course.

What? no ones got any balls anymore to do the Guns of Navarone, or the blow up the Norwegian Heavy Water plant sabotage jobs like in the olden days. ;)

What's really stopping the Russian's from saying "here, have a nuclear weapon as our gift to you, Aim responsibly!".
Practically speaking, absolutely nothing.
But... fear of Pandora's Box, possibly.

Also, thought I heard a long time ago that nuclear weapons have a certain radiation signature depending on who refined it. And we'd know it was a Russian bomb?
I could be totally wrong about that.
