Stunning! Jewish director Jonathan Glazer speech after winning the Oscar for Zone of Interest, a holocaust drama has Israel supporters enraged:

“All our choices were made to reflect and confront us in the present, not to say, ‘Look what they did then’; rather, ‘what we do now,’” Glazer said, reading a prepared speech. “Our film shows where dehumanization leads at its worst. It’s shaped all of our past and present.

“Right now, we stand here as men who refute their Jewishness and the Holocaust being hijacked by an occupation which has led to conflict for so many innocent people,” Glazer continued. “Whether the victims of October 7th in Israel or the ongoing attack on Gaza, all the victims of this dehumanization — how do we resist?”

Speech was met with applause!

The title of the video speaks for itself.
remember when the UNRWA allegations suddenly emerged right after the ICJ ruling that it was very likely that Israel is committing war crimes?
Now it is reported that according to the UN Israel used torture to obtain confessions that led to the U.S. and other countries cancelling aid funding to UNRWA.
There are no choices for the 2024 election (unless you vote some obscure 3rd party candidate who has no chance to win) available without signaling tacit approval for the murder of civilians.

i can't seem to find the hour long version but here's what i could find

nine more aid seekers were killed today, our most moral allies just can't help themselves

https://www.google.com/search?q=al+jazzera+is+owned+by
"the Qatari government"

https://www.google.com/search?q=Hamas+is+financed+by
"Matthew Levitt, a former U.S. official specialised in counterterrorism, estimated the bulk of Hamas' budget of more than $300 million came from taxes on business, as well as from countries including Iran and Qatar or charities."

https://www.google.com/search?q=where+is+Hamas+political+office
The civil war in Syria forced Hamas to move its political leadership to Qatar in 2012. The arrangement has long come under scrutiny, as some suggest the tiny Middle Eastern country is too cozy with Hamas and Iran and should be reprimanded for those relationships.

Making Al Jazeera out to be some knd of middle eastern equivalent to RT is funny when AJ is one of the more reliable and neutral sources of news. Probably the only major outlet in the ME that is.

Calling out what's actually happening in Gaza makes them a state-owned, biased source that's creating their own truth? That's laughable. How many other outlets are now disputing what Israel has been putting out for news? Hint: Israel is notorious for their lying and slanting of news releases involving themselves.

It's basically akin to conservatives calling AP news a "leftist propaganda source" because they don't like the truth.

Yep, AJ is pretty solid. I rarely see anyone calling them out with specific instances of shoddy or dishonest reporting. Whiles Israels very foundation is built upon fake news which they routinely use to dupe the media. 2 recent events, their claim of UNRWA harboring terrorists who were part of the Oct 7 attack and the claimed "stampede" of famished Pal civilians rushing to aid trucks most of whom ended up with bullet holes are examples. Many journalists are fed up with them and complaining to their editorial boards of not wanting to be their propagandists with dishonest or unverified reporting.

Great way to possibly endanger the lives of US citizens ...

That was one of my first thoughts as well, but at least those facilities and grounds are secured and guarded. People might go and picket them, but I doubt anything further.

Zeihan approves of the dock. At least the potential of it - in terms of geo politics.... and feeding the hungry of course.

Feels good to have someone capable in the White House doesnt it?

Speaking as someone that has worked in the Defense space for 3 decades, including a few of those sites listed (and other similar ones), there is no real security to speak of. Picture private guards that are older than Biden, or rounder than Trump. It's on the level of mall security.

US foreign policy subservient to Israel poses the greatest threat to the US and its citizens. In case you didnt know, this was not Israels first mass slaughter of civilians. Israels 1982 invasion of Lebanon killed 18,000 civs in very much the same way the indiscriminate bombing of Gaza. Lots of high rise apartments on the outskirts of Beirut were bombed as Israel was targeting the PLO who had retreated there.

Bin Laden himself cited this as the reason he committed the 9-11 attacks:

"And the events that affected me directly were that of 1982 and the events that followed - when America allowed the Israelis to invade Lebanon...

As I watched the destroyed towers in Lebanon, it occurred to me punish the unjust the same way [and] to destroy towers in America so it could taste some of what we are tasting and to stop killing our children and women..."

Many dont know this shit because their manipulated media is routinely scrubbed by Israel and its supporters to keep them in the dark. Plus you've been told 9-11 was because "they hate you for your freedoms". Hope you are a bit more enlightened now.

Ukraine would kill Americans with bombs?

Its America, a mass shooting by some white guy is a bigger concern.

Yeah, you got me.

Not like you responded to the original point anyway. Carry on with your echo chamber.
This was your original point:
Great way to possibly endanger the lives of US citizens ...
So... US policy, support and supply of bombs to Israel that resulted in 1000s of dead in 1982 and which Bin Laden used as his reason for 9-11 was not clear enough of a message that the same US policies today may not result in a repeat of that by another terrorist? Yet you think the safety of US lives at munitions plants is more of a concern?

That's a naive take (and also reliant on believing ONE of bin Laden's reasons alone), which by logical extension would have the US not being involved AT ALL in large swaths of global policy.

US persons are at risk in lots of locations (home and abroad) for any number of reasons. Adding one more to the list to try and score cheap political points on a hot button issue that we can't actually control or solve is not a great idea.

Like I said, carry on.

If they are so worried about their safety, perhaps they (the companies) shouldn't be putting their information out to the general public? (looks like it's all available on google maps anyways)
