I know lots of American Jews who do not believe at all in the necessity for a "jewish homeland" in Palestine any more than a "christian homeland" in the USA.

I'll admit to being wrong about the intent of the Jews living here. As you may have noticed I live near what I believe is still the largest and definitely the oldest Jewish community in America and so know a lot of Jewish folks.

However now that I think about it most (all) of the people that I know are secular or at the very least not Orthodox or otherwise very strict observers of the faith. So I likely don't have a representative sample of opinions. The Jewish community is very tight here and I could certainly see the Orthodox Jews and some others not wanting to share with the Christians and Muslims. They wouldn't be killing everyone over it though. Generally they just keep to themselves.
