West Bank feels betrayed by its leaders -- The Independent Video.

In the West Bank the gap between the public and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas is widening, following disappointment that Abbas has pointed out explicitly Hamas' responsibility in the crisis over Israel's offensive on Gaza.

UN condemns attack on Gaza school -- BBC News Video

John Ging, the head of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency in Gaza, has said the region is 'on the cusp of catastrophe'.
He was speaking after an Israeli air strike killed three Palestinians who were seeking refuge in a school run by the UN just outside Gaza City.

An Israeli helicopter strikes -- BBC News Video

A number of large explosions have been reported in Gaza City following a fourth day of Israel's ground assault.
Palestinian sources have said at least 40 people have been killed in an Israeli air strike on a United Nations-run school.
Earlier in the day, three Israeli soldiers were killed and several wounded after being shelled by "friendly fire".
These pictures show a missile being dropped on Gaza City and the aftermath of the attacks in its hospitals and destroyed buildings.

40 die as Israel bombs UN school in Gaza -- Warning gruesome images (children).
It is sad that the West is getting more and more callous with War & death.

Even Anantech members are making excuses & locking threads that aren't for aggressors. And, I'm sad that we aren't intelligent enough to see pass the politicians/media divide & conquer scheme.

IMHO, all death is wrong/politician failure as indicated by the videos.

Don't worry in 20-30 years every Arab nation will have nuclear capabilities.

Then there won't be anymore Arab/Israel threads.

They'll be gone.

Because that was the slogan that the neocon use to support the Iraq war, and now their mentality is to stand strong on support the Israelis.

The funny part is that Israel has had nuclear capabilities for 30 years now and I don't think anyone feels threatened. That's exactly the point why US has more in common with Israel than with any other country in this region.

How so?

They aren't technologically as advance as the West, and IMHO they aren't any more trouble some than us in the last 100 year.

All they have to do is hire a European firm to build their nuclear plant. That is what Israel did and that is what the Arabs are doing. The Arabs are going after nuclear power and nobody is going to tell them otherwise.

Many Arabs, tens of thousands and possibly hundreds of thousands have gotten education at the finest universities in the West. All they have to do is offer them $$$$ and they'll move back home and work on their nuclear plans.

You might view it as referring to how others might see this war.

American war planes, piloted by Israelis, bombed Muslims in Gaza.
American bombs rained down on Gazan civilians as Israelis attack.
American tanks, driven by Israelis, shelled Gazan children today.
American shells rip apart UN school, slaughtering civilians seeking refuge.

Maybe Americans don't view this attack on Gaza is an Amercan enterprise but many others throughout the world do see this attack as an American fist in an Israeli glove.

It just isn't fair. Death. Good thing we don't have videos of the other 146,000 people that died today.

The tanks are thoroughly Israeli. A large part of the guns are Israeli. The shells are all Israeli.

Conversation between intelligent people involves how to MINIMALIZE war, not some fluffy feel good talk about how war is bad and we need to rid the world of it. War is inevitable, and probable. Its just a matter of when and why. Threads like this are bullshit.

Actually most wars can be brought to a quick end. Simply stop funding them.

Gee, I do. How many of their neighbors have you asked? Think Israel's nukes have had any impact on other nations' policies about attacking Israel, whatever they do in Gaza?

Of course, with the fall of the USSR, the neocons are actively pushing for the use of ('tactical') nuclear weapons as part of our own military policy.

We're spending a fortune to develop new 'more usable' nukes now.

I'm not sure that I can agree with you, because I have lived in a war torn country in the past and the only positive thing that I saw was pain.
