I like V8 personally. As long as it is kept cold. Warm V8 is pretty nasty. They mix rather well with Vodka too.

I knew what he meant to say, I was responding to what he did say. :)

Anyone drink this or are there other versions of it?

Salt is important for many of the body's functions. like all things it must be consumed in the proper amounts.
Gatorade has about as much, if not mroe salt than V8.

People are overly frightened of salt. Unless you already have high blood pressure, it's not that big a deal.

anyone who won't eat anything with much salt in it cause it is "bad for you" needs to go drink like 10 gallons of distilled water and report back

so over 1/3 of the bottle is sodium? That's more of a sludge than a drink.

[Bender] There was nothing wrong with that food! The salt level was 10% less than a lethal dose. [/Bender] :D

I like V8 juice but it is very acidic and I usually end up with a canker sore if I drink much of it so I generally avoid it.

Strawberry Bananna V8 Fusion is really good stuff. Been a nice addition to my diet instead of always drinking water after I cut out the sodas and fast food.

Is interesting trying to explain to my brother in law that there's a difference between sugars from fruits & veggies and sugar you get in candy though. It has too much sugar it can't be good for you.

I am in the water a lot, and often end up choking down tons of salt water mixed with seaweed and sand. Im fine, salt does not seem to be a problem.

The entire point of Gatorade is to get the salt that you sweat out back into you...

how often do you swallow the salt water ? this can't be good for you. And high blood pressure (aka hypertension) is a silent killer, and many people are not aware of it ("Im fine") until it's too late

Its only 35% so I wouldn't worry unless the rest of your daily diet consists of foods with a good amount of sodium. If V8 is your only source of sodium, then it is definately not a problem.

I can only drink it if I add tons of tobasco sauce (more salt).

I think it tastes good, although I drink the small cans. I think the large ones are just too much.

The irrational fear of salt just shows how one size fits all diet recommendations are absurd.

To reiterate: There is NO reason to avoid or limit sodium unless you have a condition that is aggravated by it (like high blood pressure).
