You don't bench studs and there's a decent chance of a 1 point stat correction. It's happened before in our league where a guy up by .5 with nothing but a defense got cute and sat the only remaining player (his defense).

Stat correction gave me the win and a trip the the championship game.

Let me ask you guys, what would you do here?

I'm up by one point right now, and the gf has no one left playing. I have Gronk tonight (and Vereen too, just grabbed him off waivers, but I'm benching him and putting Gronk in at Flex). Would you play Gronk tonight?

Thing is, stats are usually pretty spot on in our league, but there's always the chance that if I don't play Gronk and get a few extra points, then a stat correction tomorrow could snatch the win from me. As it stands now, she has me beat on bench points (what we go to for tie breaking), but Vereen could also change that in my favor tonight.

There's always the chance Gronk gets out there for negative points too. Unlikely, but anything's possible.

Now, the weird part, our league is split in two 8 team leagues, and the overall trophy winner is decided by a power ranking system (messed up, I know, but it's just the way it is). As it stands, I'm first in power rankings, but a girl from the other league isn't far behind me. In the power rankings formula our commish uses, every point and win counts, so...play Gronk or no?

Play Gronk always at this point. Receivers/TE rarely get negative points. 0 at worst.

Thanks, guys.

Okay, I know I'm asking a lot of questions, but I've got one more.

I just proposed a trade of me giving Moreno and Bills DS/T for McCoy, and the guy actually said yes.

I'd be stupid not to do this, right?

I'm worried Moreno's losing goal line touches to Ball going forward. I don't know if it's just a Jack Del Rio thing or not, but I don't think John Fox woulda given Ball the work he got last night after those fumbles. Have they said when John Fox is expected to return?

that guy's an idiot. take it. mccoy has the friendliest running schedule of all backs, rest of year.

edit: also, come on man thats a ridiculously stupid trade. the defense is worthless so its moreno for mccoy. the same moreno who had two tds vultured last night. i mean, i've seen worse but its pretty bad

*shakes head in disbelief as well* This guy knows his shit, so I was just as surprised as you are that I got a yes to this. I was wondering if he knew something I didn't about McCoy, that's why I ask about the trade here.

I did text him and ask him why he said yes. He said he has no shot at the playoffs, and doesn't care about our toilet bowl. I feel kinda guilty about the trade now, but it's not like I'm pulling one over on him. He knows whats up.

I do feel a little dirty now though

mccoy did go down yesterday, grabbing at his leg. but he played the rest of the game. all signs point to him being totally fine, but if you can grab bryce brown as insurance, you could sleep more easily.

That's what I'm thinking, but I hate when they lie about limited snap counts and a newly returning player blows up.

I'll probably go the safe route and play Garcon, but the urge to slot Harvin is strong

What do I win?

I think Garcon got hurt so watch him. Don't know if it's the same foot as last year.

You win my admiration :p

I did see Garcon go down and out for a bit at the beginning of the game (a serious "SHIT! DAMN! FUCK!" moment), but he seemed okay, for the most part, rest of the game. No stellar performance obviously. Is that the injury you're referring to? Or was there something else I might have missed seeing happen?

As for McCoy, that dude's part cyborg I believe. Earlier this season he had an injury where it looked like he was hurt bad, and likely to be out for quite some time. Yet he came back out and killed it. I'm hoping that's the norm for him.

Moreno was so injury prone prior to this season. Part of me wonders if he's playing with two broken legs now. I think he realizes the opportunity he's been given and isn't as apt to claim injury so quickly now. I bet he plays through a lot of pain and just keeps his trap shut.

Read up on garçon. He had a foot/ankle problem last year that kept him out most of the season. I've had many ankle problems from volley ball and skate boarding that I could play through.

A foot is a much bigger problem. Not trying to scare you as I love the guy as a colts fan. Just watch. He's a stud.

True foot injuries are no joke and hurt like hell. Without foot, ankle doesn't matter.

I'm hurting for QB next week. Tolzien a good upside sneaky pick? At home and playing the lowly Vikes (and their 29th ranked passing def).

There has to be somebody better. But not a bod play if that's all you have available.

Well I've got Ryan, Dalton, and Cutler. Ryan is playing NO (in Atlanta) but it's Thursday night and QBs have been awful on Thursday nights this season. Not to mention NO has a good pass def. Dalton has his bye week.

I could always go with the homer pick... Fitzpatrick at the Raiders!

Actually another option could be Glennon against the Lions.

How the hell and why are you carrying 3 QBs? Some funky scoring?

I'm trying to be nice here...Carrying 2 QBs is dumb, 3 is idiotic. Unless you have funky scoring or 2 QB league.

I've carried Ryan and Dalton since the draft. Unfortunately for me right as Dalton was about to get dropped he went on his 3 game tear. Now I've missed all the good pick ups. Someone dropped Cutler a couple of weeks ago so I picked him up to stash for the playoffs since his matchups are top notch (assuming he's back by week 14). My QB situation is not good. I have plenty of depth at other positions so no harm there. Also, 12 team league. The best available QBs on waivers are the ones I listed.

Pretty sure I'm basically done for winning the championship in all my leagues now unless another team implodes. 5 or 6 wins in all 4 leagues. Sigh.

woot, won the one I was tied in and held off a charging olsen in another to go 3-0. 2 are locked in to the playoffs and third facing bottom of the league in the next three games so a 2-1 there would lock him in too.

So who thinks that last call was, as Brady mentioned, "Fucking bullshit!"? The "Fucking" part of what Brady said was aired by the way. Friggin hilarious.
