Manning should get you a solid WR1 and RB2 two for one IMHO. Some folks are really into QBs so target one that has a lower end one or a bye coming up or deep bench at RB.

The owner stacked at RB or WR likely has a lower end QB, go find him and/or go back to your draft results to target.

yeah, that's what I've been looking over for some time now--this trade has been stewing in my head for the last 2--3 weeks, really, after I had a pretty good week one but still got my butt kicked. The writing was on the wall that I needed to get something for Peyton.

So, there are a few possible teams with this exact situation

the other option I have been looking at in the league:

Team 2:
his QB Romo

RB: Foster
WRs: Dez, Nicks, Antonio Brown

Team 3:
his QB: Russell Wilson

RB: Peterson
WRs: D Thomas, B Marshal, Greg Jennings

I'd go after Team 2 and try to get foster and dez, do it after PFM kills it this week. Nicks is worthless.

Just offered this trade today, because my team sucks donkeyholes:

I give up:

P Manning
Deangelo Williams

I get:

M Lynch
Dwayne Bowe

I have Rivers to fill in for Manning.
My RBs: CJ Spiller (LOL) and D Williams;
WO: Andre Johnson (made of tinker toys) and James Jones.

He has Stafford (not too shabby, but Manning is a real improvement) and Reggie Bush to fill in for Lynch.

...Am I insane?

basically, my team outside of Manning is mostly donuts each week, so something has to happen.

Man, that's crazy. Peyton is the best QB and Lynch is barely a #5 back. You couldn't trade someone Rivers who's weak at QB for a decent RB?

Edit: Who is Team #3's #2 RB? Offer Rivers for them, I bet they're getting sick and tired and Russell wilson to produce.

What's everyone's opinion on picking up either Harvin or Crabtree to stash in their bench until they return?

Depends, list your team. I sure as hell don't have the extra spot to spare because I play matchups on running backs (shallow league so there's a lot), qb's (kaepernick put me in that one), and DSTs every week.

Speaking of matchups, I just benched Deangelo Williams for Rashad Jennings per PFF's advice. Apparently AZ is beast against the run and should render Williams' day a nightmare. Meanwhile, Jennings will have the luxury of having Pryor back which freezes the DE's for a sec + Dwight Freeney is out.

Harvin is definitely worth the slot. I'm sure you have a WR or low end RB that you never use and can pick up again. If he comes back even 80% of what he was after week 10 that gives you 6+ weeks of pretty quality output.

LOL, I can't drop anybody. 5 bench slots.

RB - Joique Bell
RG3
WR - T.Y. Hilton
Rob Gronkowski
RB - Ben Tate

Those guys are trade bait and just one injury away from blowing up.

Hilton has been a little disappointing but his blow up potential is still there, I think the hammy is limiting his explosive speed. You have to see him play to have my kind of faith in holding onto him.

PS - I'm playing David Wilson this week, all the talk has been about this is when he blows up. Gotta take risk to get reward.

Hoyer is injured on the first drive. Hope noone started him!

Ouch, I was extremely close to picking him up and starting him tonight but grabbed Pryor instead.

Players on thursday night games are tough starts unless they are true studs, like running backs.

Someone in our league started him. He's screwed unless Hoyer can come back in. I have J.Gordon so I hope he comes back, I don't have any confidence in Weeden at all.

I did. Picked him up earlier today and slotted him place for Matt Schaub who was going up against San Fran. RGIII is on bye this week.

Bleh. Also played Clevelands defense.

Yay.

Bilal Powell?

lulz.

well, I cancelled the trade pending for Lynch. I definitely don't think he's a #5 back out there, but I will see if I can get more, and maybe deal Rivers (my week 1 waiver pickup).

This is a 14 team league so the pickings are pretty slim after week one.

I honestly wanted to hold on to Manning until the Jacksonville game...only because I want to see what those points look like. :D

But, I've been wanting to deal him for a while now. It really doesn't make much of a difference. If he scores 46 points, that means my team will score, maybe...114. :(

Who has Kaepernick and who's his backup QB? He's a strict no-start this week per PFF and maybe you can deal Rivers to him. I sure as shit would start Rivers over Kaep at this point, and I'm picking up Cutler as soon as this week is done to start the next 3 weeks over Kaep unless something dramatic changes.

The game is still young. Cleveland almost busted a kickoff return for you, and there should be a lot of sacks to help.
