patriots D is arguably a better play, so for less money it's an easy choice. unless you are afraid that too many people are picking NE D

Actually, I think I did even better. Went with the Bucs D @ Jets and used all the money to get Julio Jones.

I used to do a similar format on espn, only once you'e bought a player at a certain value, they are locked in. So if you wait to swoop in on talent, you paid higher.

On FanDuel at least, you can edit your lineup right until the game starts.

Wonder if I can steal Eric decker now... I think he still has good value.

I had a trade offer before the game to give Decker for Vick Ballard. I'm short in RB depth and deep in WR2.5'ish kinda guys. He's a sell low candidate after that stinkfest. Guy couldn't catch a ball to save his life last night. Should have had a TD but it went right through his hands.

I think he'll bounce back and will probably get more operating space as teams put more coverage on Welker. But man that was not a good game from him.

Well, no offense (and I say this with love) but fuck my earlier statement of having a man crush on you guys. Starting the Ravens D is murdering me. The salt in the wound is my opponent, a first year guy in our league, sat Matt Ryan and played Peyton. Fuuuuuuuck me.

well...that's about as bad as you can get. Sorry--if it makes you feel any better, Peyton scored 47 for me (pretty much tops in our league is around 50 for a single player). What angered me, though, is the refs took away the inside-the-1-yard-line punt from Colquitt when those jackcock Ravens ran into each other  (Denver downed in there on the bounce)

(Yes, we have punters in our league.) That shit cost me 5 points! :p

So...on the fence on the QB I'm going to start...Vick or Newton...I know I probably should go w/ Newton, but he's going against Seattle (my team)...I want to think we'll hold him in check but probably just me being a Seahawks fan...

You want even more salt in the wound??? I went with my gut instead of the advice here on Jacoby Jones in my flex, and started him tonight (his file photo was fucking hilarious btw), and I was feeling really good about that. That was until ANOTHER FUCKING RAVEN TOOK HIM OUT OMGWTFBBQSAUCE!?!?!?! GAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!

Right now Prater was the only thing keeping me from being in negative points while my opponent is sitting in the 60's with Peyton, Torrey Smith, and the Broncos D.

It's just a game right....serenity now....

1) The Ravens D is in the top 15 (and top 10 in many polls) so it wasn't a bad play. They had a good first half but then totally screwed the pooch in the 2nd half, any given Sunday and all of that. To be fair, in my league our Ravens D still scored 3.x points (average is 8-10 for a great defense) due to the two fumble recoveries and 4 sacks. So they still recouped about 33% of a total loss. Either way you don't expect any top 10 Defense to give up 7 TDs, that was a masterfully freak effort by #18. At home you will see the Ravens D really shine (lowest points allowed in the past 5 years), on the road they can be vulnerable. I would try to get Green Bay if possible.

2) We all told you not to start Jacoby Jones in the Flex over Reggie Bush, I don't even know what to say man.

3) If it makes you feel any better my opponent also has Manning (60 points alone holy fuck) and I had Decker (triple fuck me) who shit the bed and scored a whopping 3.38 points since Manning wouldn't throw to him or he would drop a pass, or get called for PI, or fumble. Horrible, I have to hope for Matt Ryan to really get into a shootout of epic proportions vs the Saints (could happen). Even worse, he has Adrian Peterson vs Detroit, R. Wayne vs Oakland (lol), and R. Bush vs Minn. It's not looking good.

If there's any game that Vick will do well in, it's this week vs Washington's poor secondary. However, Cam is playing at home (if on the road def start Vick) so he may do better than if at Seattle (cannot hear shit). FWIW I'm starting Steve Smith in Flex but only because it's at Carolina.

LOL, so you posted saying you were going to bench the Ravens D and then play them anyway? Good thinking there, playing a defense against a top 3 QB with a totally stacked offense.

A tip for the future - if you simply play matchups instead of sticking with one defense every week, you will do fine. I was hearing that last year, if you had simply played whichever fantasy defense was up against the Chiefs every week, you would have had the third highest points from your defense position. This is called "fading" a team - this year, just fade the Jags, Jets, and Raiders, and you'll do much better than trying to pick one defense that will play well against everybody.

And can you really blame your opponent for playing Peyton "Fucking" Manning over Matt Ryan? He would have been an idiot not to.

Guess you learned your lesson about starting a fringe WR ranked in the 180 range with zero fantasy value over a starting running back that is ranked in the top 30 players overall. Remember that Broncos linebacker who tossed the football before he was in the end zone? You can bet he won't make that same mistake again. Learn.

Right now Prater was the only thing keeping me from being in negative points while my opponent is sitting in the 60's with Peyton, Torrey Smith, and the Broncos D.

Well, if it's any consolation, you probably wouldn't have won anyway even if you had done everything right.

I would just go with Newton, there is a reason why you drafted Newton many rounds before Michael Vick.

I have Foster starting. Should I bench Lacy for Tate? I would be using both Houston RBs against a horrible SD def instead of Lacy against the 49ers.

Foster is not expected to get a full work load.

This is for a flex spot. I can use a TE, which Sudfeld is on my bench.

I'm trying to decide if I should start Dalton or Tate? Opinions? It's a flex spot.

Newton did terrible in his game vs the Seahawks last year. Granted that's a small sample size. I just don't feel confident that CAR has a lineup that can overcome SEA's stifling defense and buy him opportunities to make plays.

AJ Green and Adrian Peterson are having fantastic days so far.

On another note I am very worried about the Saints constant injuries to their defense. At this rate we may need to bring the old dome patrol out of retirement :p

Doing pretty well week 1. Hard to lose this week if you had P. Manning on your team... but Reggie Bush is looking good, Sproles is playing well, and Vincent Jackson is over 100 yards recieveing without a TD. Should have this week won easily!

Edit: I have no clue why I picked up Jones-Drew this year, Jags are so bad that even if he doesn't manage to get injured he'll never get any attempts.

zach sudfeld is worthless, cj spiller too.

Yeah I picked up Sudfeld in a few leagues and am dropping him like a rock.

A bunch of top running backs did not do much this week. Lynch, Richardson and Spiller come to mind.

Also, welcome to Dumpsville. Population: Chris Ivory.

Joique Bell was a great pick up late in the draft. Sitting on my bench with 23.

Lamar Miller RB who I really thought was my awesome flex play...notta.

Same for my decision of WR Chris Givens over Michael Floyd at WR3. Oh well, at least I've got a good bench for a 12 team league. I drafted for upside and the playoffs. Can't wait till Gronkowski is healthy.

TY Hilton did nothing for me, but I can't let him go knowing what he's capable of.

Lamar Miller in my RB2 spot put up a big goose egg. Going to give him another shot next week. If he does put up not he will be dropped.
