We can only have 4 RB's and WR's, 3 QB's, 2 TE's
Currently my roster is:
-Drew Brees (QB)
-MJD (RB)
-Frank Gore (RB)
-Calvin Johnson (WR)
-Julio Jones (WR)
-Zach Sudfeld (TE)
-Jacoby Jones (Flex)
-Cleveland Browns (D/ST)
-Matt Prater (K)
-Gronkowski (TE)
-Eric Decker (WR)
-DeMarco Murray (RB)
-Knowshon Moreno (RB) (dropping him for Bradshaw, will drop Bradshaw for Bush if I get him)
-Alex Smith (QB)
-Ravens D (D/ST)
Sam Bradford also was dropped to Waivers, so my second claim on Waivers tonight will be to drop the Ravens D for him. I don't need him, and don't really care for him, but I think my gf wants him as her QB2 (she has Wilson and Freeman). So I'll snag Bradford if I can to use as a bargaining chip as part of a package deal for Alfred Morris. I REALLY wanted him again this year, but she scooped him up before me at the draft.
Keep in mind that Jacoby Jones is still a #3 receiver on the ravens and not a big red zone threat, Dickson and Smith are. Yahoo is only giving him 2 out of 5 stars for this game, so I would definitely not start him in FLEX.
Matchup Rating
(9/5 @Den)
Averaged just 4.8 FPPG in 2012 and the Denver D was one of the toughest for WRs, allowing 28.34 FPPG but Denver can be tested deep.
Personally I love JJones (and the Ravens) and want him to kick some major ass tonight - he may get some deep strikes like last year's playoffs. However, that's my heart thinking and not my brain which would say Reggie Bush all the way, no way in hell a RB23 is starting over a WR59 (my listings) in any league, especially with the shortage at Running Back position this year. Even with the kickoff yardage factored in, it's still not going to be close.
My question is why are you starting the Cleveland D? They're not a top 10 Defense in any league, while many consider the Ravens to be top 10. My list is Seattle, SF, Houston, Bears, Bengals, Pats, Broncos, Pitt, StL, Green Bay, Ravens, Dallas, Miami, TB etc.
This article even had the Ravens at 7th:
http://www.sbnation.com/fantasy/201...-rankings-2013-defense-special-teams-rankings
The Ravens' D has slid down in many rankings with the departures of Ed Reed, Ray Lewis, Bernard Pollard, Paul Kruger, Dannell Ellerbe, Cary Williams, Edgar Allan Poe, Babe Ruth, and Omar from The Wire. For me, though, I see a team that has added Dumervil and others, and will theoretically have full, healthy years out of guys like Terrell Suggs and Lardarius Webb, and I slot them in at seventh. Considering the Ravens are bar-none my least favorite team in the world, both last year's playoffs and this ranking hurt me.
I think they'll still be a top 10 defense, and I can't say that about Cleveland. FWIW I'd start the Ravens if I couldn't get a different top 10 defense and drop Cleveland asap.
