I still can't believe how high a lot of people were on Atlanta and Huston before the season started and look at them now. Has there even been such a fall from grace or atleast from hype?

The Bills. They were the team to watch this season.
The Giants.
Baltimore?
Chicago.
Tampa fell pretty hard.

Eh, I felt at best Bills were going to MAYBE make a wild card, same with the Giants, Chicago and Tampa. The Ravens I felt most people knew they were going to decline. I just read a lot of people having the Falcons and Texans as possible SB teams.

I think I had the Texans in the SB (I'd have to find that thread here).. so ouch.

Edit: Had 49ers over Bengals. I still have a chance!

Their drafting has been awful since inceptions. How many awful QBs have they acquired and then stuck with?

Kubiak hasn't done much to help either though.

Kubiak is a mediocre HC at best. His clock management and decision-making is generally awful.

The Bengals are the wild card team right now. They are looking very good.

I think that's definitely possible. I see the Niners winning a close one, though. Their skill players are back, and Crabtree looked pretty good last week.

I see Seattle coming out flat after this week, though. It is a huge game for both teams. But it's more important for SF, who still needs a playoff spot.

All the moron analysts were picking the Aints on Monday. That game was over before halftime.

I don't think Carroll will let them overlook any more teams after that Jacksonville debacle. I see them losing MAYBE one more game (at the Giants). The Hawks definitely have had problems when traveling to the east coast. They should end the season walking over the Cards and Rams at home.

Even if they finish 15-1, ESPN won't know they exist. I think they'll have to talk about them if they make it to the SB though. Although it would probably be focused on why the AFC team is better.

What's funny is that the Jaguars are technically still in the playoff hunt. Of course they need a ton of things to go right for them including winning out.

One can let them play the NFC East or AFC South.

Jesus christ. Sometimes fans are stupid. Seattle fans fronted $2k to fly a banner over Candlestick this Sunday.. and a group of 49er fans have started a fund to put a billboard outside Century Link asking how many Lombardi trophies they have.

Once again the Pat's are off to a crappy start, playing at home down 0-6 to the mighty Browns, they are looking like a one-and-done playoff team this year..

So countdown to Shanahan's firing starts now?

Yeah it would be very very surprising if Shanny stays. Per Rotoworld:

ESPN's Dan Graziano reports a "disillusioned" Mike Shanahan cleaned out his office before last January's Wild Card playoff game between the Redskins and Seahawks due to frustration with Dan Snyder and Robert Griffin III's relationship.
Shanahan reportedly "grew tired" of the way Snyder "empowered" Griffin, creating an environment Shanny didn't believe was "conducive to winning" and a team concept. Shanahan "did not blame" RG3, rather he did Snyder, and later changed his mind when Griffin suffered his ACL and LCL tears against Seattle, believing "leaving at that point was no longer an option." The Redskins issued a statement Sunday describing Graziano's story as "ridiculous." Some close to Shanahan believe the longtime NFL coach may be willing to walk away this offseason. Snyder could also fire him.

What is going on with these reviews? This is at least the 5th blown review.

Yeah it makes no sense b/c there was no overwhelming evidence that BJE was NOT touched and tripped, so the original call (no TD) should have stood.

Redskins may have the worst special teams I've ever seen. McCluster is averaring nearly 60 yards a punt return. :D. Chiefs have a punt return and kick return for TD.

I'm telling you...I think Goodell has something to do with it.

Sometimes I wonder if these refs have different review angles than we do. That or they don't understand what they're reviewing. The call on the field should always stand unless it's obviously wrong. There should be no grey area and I think this has been forgotten.

guess the jags does not have #1 draft pick, it's houston holding the number 1 draft pick next year.
