It really is sad when you hear all the stories lately of judges letting violent criminals, drunks, and sex offenders off with a slap of the wrist just to go kill or rape someone again and this good kid gets the 8 days for 20 over. Nonetheless, he couldn?t appeal without warning he was in the slammer, by the time the appeal went through he would be done anyhow. Some judges have to much unchecked power.

What are you my English teacher? Sorry, I studied something a little more in depth in college than English and didn't realize this was a graded paper. It's late and I just want to type without getting criticized. You got the idea of what I was saying so if you don?t mind get off my f?ing balls.

why would your friend bring up GPA, it doesnt have to do with anything reagarding speeding - seems like a real good way to get yelled at. in DFW though its common to go 85+ on 60 - 65 limit interstates.

Competence in another field is no excuse for illiteracy.

If I was a judge, and some idiot handed me his GPA, I'd light it on fire in his face and laugh.

I'd wipe my @ss with it and then give it back.

Better yet - wipe your ass with it, THEN set it on fire!

The lawyer he got told him to. He also took some driving class got his Speedometer calibrated and got some letter from his work. I guess to show he is a good kid.

- allisolm could you check my spelling and grammar now please

You can go to jail for that?

That could ruin somebody's life for a while, going to jail for 8 days. Jobs would be lost, classes would be missed...What a ridiculous judge.

get off my f?ing balls

Nah, I'm one of those overcompensating women trying to prove I'm man enough for the job and succeeding at it. 😀

PS: BS in mathematics here and am still able to spell and punctuate.

Unfortunately, for you last time I checked High School English teacher was not a power position.

-Nonetheless, I realize my previous comment regarding women was sexist and retract my statement regardless of the truth.

yup, in VA, reckless is 20mph over the speedlimit. 6points and mandatory court date (cant just check the guily box on the ticket).

but i never knew they gave jail time for 1st offenses. it's just usually a hefty fine.

that why i never go over 9mph in va

Can he appeal the decision/sentence?

I believe I mentioned that earlier. In summary, he was handcuffed and taken away then and there by the time he appealed the 8 days would be done.

I lost my license for 90 days to get a deferral so it doesn't go on my record (but I get it back next thursday!😀)

<-- 35mph over
