i think there is good advice in trying to figure out exactly what is happening.
it does seem to point to drugs...and it is your business if it is on your street. im biased, becuase i did drugs in high school and i think a lot of kids do. i lean more toward the opinion that you should do something about the dealer rather than the buyer. especially at that age...maybe its just pot. and as much as people call it a gateway drug 9 out of 10 of my friends just did pot for awhile and never moved on.

rh71, I suggest you make a few phone calls. Call anyone you know know in the immediate area and ask them exactly what you've asked here.

If this were my neighborhood (I'm in Jersey) I'd start calling my friends/neighbors who have local businesses and have them put some pressure on the cops to find out what's up.

If it's wierd enough that you noticed it, word should get out.

School's probably the last place I'd call. If they're like most suburban schools, their official policy is that drug use doesn't happen in their perfect little world, so they'll ignore it.

I don't care if he was black, Mexican, or Korean... he didn't look Kosher when he stopped at the street corner in his souped up Expedition. And neither did the 15-17 year old kids who stood there waiting for *something*, then finally walked over to him and handed over *something*, all in a matter of 7.3 seconds. The guy wasn't their age and they didn't so much as wave goodbye when he drove off.

I admit the way I'm going on about this seems over-reactive, but I don't want this to become a bigger problem and some of you are saying that it's fine and let it be... alrighty then. That'll work. :disgust:

I never mentioned in this thread that this isn't the first time I've witnessed a transaction. In Brooklyn while parked in front of a friend's house waiting for them to get home, some black dude and a white Irish looking dude (just for descriptive purposes) got dropped off... all right beside my car. It was nighttime so they didn't see us sitting there in the car. They noticed after the swap though... we sat there motionless. Then around came the Lexus ES300 to pick up the black dude and the white dude walked off down the street. Minutes later, I see the ES300 come around again... this time slowly as if they were about to do a drive-by (no BS here)... but continued on... I guess it was because they saw we were just kids with balloons looking like we're ready to go celebrate someone's birthday party... and not anyone to worry about as far as they're concerned. Point is, it wasn't even my neighborhood, but would I want my female friends there to wander the street by themselves? Fvck no. Did I feel safe? Fvck no. This stuff happens all the time, I'm sure. But I don't want it to happen here... ever.

So if the black guy picked up the kids drove around the block then dropped them off it would be fine?

Suggestion: start a neighborhood watch that would be taking a more activist approach and probably more effective than telling the police who recieve prolly 1000 similar calls a day

I can only act upon what I see. If I never in my lifetime see it happen again here on my street, I will do nothing more. I wouldn't have to, now would I ?

These kids sound like idiots; they're doing this right at rush hour, when everyone's leaving their houses for the morning? Stupid.

I'd tell the cops, they'll pull the easiest sting operation in their careers, the kids will be busted, and the rest of the students at the school will be too scared to do anything else illegal on your street.

It makes me angry that these kids likely have rich parents who love them and trust them, and then while they're on their way to Catholic school, they're dealing drugs. What a travesty. Sounds like the movie Traffic.

Uh, drug dealing DOES hurt him - it's detrimental to his neighborhood, and where there are drug deals, there are drug disputes with guns, knives and gang fights.

Don't tell me that I don't know wtf I'm talking about. It's true - when someone gets stiffed on a drug deal, they bring their friends to even the score. Tell the cops; it's the easiest and best thing you can do. Ask them to keep an eye on the street in the morning, and to possibly run a sting.

yeah and then they call the guy up that stiffed them and say hey meet me at that corner where I got stiffed so I can get even. The catholic school kids will come with the glocks and mack 10's fo' shure and start bussin' caps all through that neighborhood because thats where they made a deal.


buddy your forgetting that this is alleged drug activity no facts really accept it looked suspicious. In that case call the FBI and report it as possible terrorist activity.....

I completely understand what you are saying and your need for concern however to me it sounds like you want to complain more than you actually what to do something about it as you are content as long as the deals dont go down on the street or where it is in your line of sight.

So my general feeling is "DONT TALK ABOUT IT BE ABOUT IT"

Complain about what? You're the one who keeps bringing things back up when I clearly stated I will not call the cops until it happens again. This was yesterday. not trying to egg you on more like suggesting you do something about issues like this that bother you and that you do have control over instead of bringing it to a forum to just talk about it. Or reassess why these things bother you to begin with and if you cant be bothered to do something about it besides call the cops then you might want to just keep your mouth shut about it all together.
