So if a woman punched you in the face, you'd return the favor?

I was out with my buds, and we had just entered our favorite bar. It's always a bar, isn't? Anyways, we go in and see our one of our good friends getting into a loud argument with his girlfriend. So we amble over there to see if we can help him out. Well, we get over there and it's not just him & his g/f, it's him, his g/f & the girlfriend's best friend who is a real witch. So we walk over and I say hey, what's happening, and the witch friend turns to me and says "none of your business". I then say "well, it involves one of my best friends, so I think it doesn't matter to me." The witch starts shrieking at me about what a horrible person my friend is, and by extension, how evil all males are. Then she slaps me. Just *slap*.

Now, a slap is not a big deal. I've received my fair share from the opposite sex :) So I stand there and kinda glare at her, and she says "What, aren't going to hit back? Who's a man now?" And with that she turns around. And then turns around the rest of the way at lands one right on my face. Ow. I stumble back, and then she jumps on me, shrieking at the top of her lungs while my friends are standing there aghast, as is the previously fighting couple. So I put my arms up as she's hammering away at me. I could smell the liquor on her breath while she's at it, and then she screamed out that I don't deserve to have the woman I do because I'm a pitiful man who won't defend himself. Well, that was the end of the conversation, because I stood up, grabbed her shirt and decked the sh!t out of her. She went down like a bag of bricks, got up, started crying and stormed out of there.

Oddly enough, there were no negative repercussions inside my social circle besides not having seen her in 6 months or so. Some of her girlfriends tell me that she went into rehab and started seeing a psychiatrist shortly thereafter.

I'm a pretty big guy @ 6" and 215lbs, and I still feel kind of bad about the whole thing. (~8 months ago).

I was put into a situation this past week where had this woman gone one more step, I would have hit her.
She already damaged my car and called the police on me for doing my job.

I don't hit either men or women, but if I did there would be no difference.
