Deep fried frog legs are really good. I also love gator tail but not so keen on anything "gamey." I tried ostrich once and just couldn't get it down. Not sure if it was the actual taste or just the mentality of eating ostrich that I had. Buffalo meat is great. Had rabbit once and wasn't terrible but I wasn't blown away either. I won't touch veal because of how it's obtained. Call me simplistic but just give me variations of beef, pork, chicken and fish any day and I'm happy.

grouse is much better then rabbit, especially wild rabbit... I can only eat it if it's been stewed.. otherwise, it's like a lumpy, fatty piece of gristle..

I love rabbit (lapin), but have never been able to find a decent one here in the USA.

Wild beats domestic any day. Less fat, tastier. Mother-in-law makes a wild rabbit dish (or lamb) marinated which is just awsome. Hungarian food rocks. Grew up on italian but this dish I will eat until I'm sick and need oxygen.

pheasant > grouse.
squirrels are almost on a par with rabbit, except they're so much smaller that eating becomes a chore. Hey! Squirrel season opens 3 weeks from today in NY. Another month after that before rabbit season. Heyyyyyy... I could go buy 20 or 30 rabbits that look more like wild rabbits without my wife knowing... release them on the back part of our property, and have them for dinner!

I think that about covers all of them (except seafoods, which would make the list way too complicated).

As to pork, 3 words: bacon wrapped bacon. 'Nuff said.

Ever tried goose? When cooked tender, it's really good. Venison is insanely yummy as well.

Or how about snapper turtle. It's actually very tasty, I'd rank it as high as veal. :)

MMMmmmmm turtle soup (snapping turtle) >>> any other type of soup.

Bass?? As far as freshwater species go, bass is hardly a favorite. Walleye>crappie>bass (this order seems to be almost universally accepted)

Pork > Lamb > Beef > Veal > Chicken > Venison > Rabbit > Turkey > Goose > Duck > Mutton > Goat
lamb at one end, mutton at the other end? They're not *that* dissimilar. And, you left out elk :p
