Gator and rattlesnake taste about the same.

BTW, cutter bunny? Is that like the one in The Holy Grail?

I've always wanted to try it actually, but have never found it anywhere. Anyone know of a place to get it in SW Washington?

Some groceries carry it. Publix and Assi for sure, but it is per store at Publix. No Publix in WA, so try some of the major chains in the freezer near the turkey and duck.

I've never had it but I'm sure it's great. Pigeon meat is actually very tender, >chicken IMO.

AKA Squab. It is. Dad used to raise them, but had it for the first time I could remember in Hong Kong. Quail is mighty tasted, especially fixed like Looed Squab. Figured that one out from a Frugal Gourmet book.

No shens - Looing Sauce recipe ;)

Definitely not shens. But, most people don't just go down to the park, grab a few pigeons, and call it dinner. My relatives used to raise pigeons... excellent, especially for soup. Definitely better than chicken soup. :) I just purchased 10 homing pigeons and 4 rollers yesterday, but gave them away today.
