I see many different opinions in this thread. AIM can support this, of course, just wondering if there was something more devoted.
I'm sure the different FTP/Filezilla suggestions are the best, but I don't know anything about it.Care to give a brief overview?

Sure you both use modems. Set his to answer mode. Use a terminal program. I suggest Procomm. Dial his phone number with Procomm. You will be bypassing the internet in it's totality. Set your transfer protocol to kermit or z-modem. You both have to have the same protocol. Upload file directly to him.
