After trying to tell you time and time again how racist the Republican Party is I don't know why you fail to believe it. I don't lie in this forum just to promote a narrative. Not like the right wingers here. You need to read the Maya Angelou theorem.
Sen. Mike Braun seems OK with states banning interracial marriage (msnbc.com)

He's just spouting shit without considering this is his opinion. This will never come to pass because of SCOTUS ruling Loving v. Virginia, which banned states from enacting laws that restricted interracial marriages.

The OP also makes the claim that racist policies have ended, as if the consequences of those policies, once ended, also ended their impact. But then…

I think there are a lot of legal protections and strong political support for POC, among Democrats at least.
Old racist policies may have been fought against, and the battles won, but I have come to understand the war against human nature is eternal.
We can never rest at protecting civil liberties for all people.

So what if SCOTUS won't overturn that? The point is that there are people in power who believe that.

So Republicans can be openly racist and your excuse is they didn't mean it and it wouldn't happen anyway? Who thought after unanimously voting to re-authorize the 65 Voting Rights Act today it would get 0 votes from Republicans

Remind me one more time who is the racist party??

Modern racists are not stupid. The path to election victory in a competitive system system that pits one group against another must distinguish its differences and superiority to its competition and where those differences essentially do not exist, as in the case of race, they must be manufactured. Once the aim of winning depends of separation of one group against another, the deminization of the other will be manufactured by the best minds that hope to profit from that win. Thus we now have a skilled attempt to establish white supremacy as a fact scientifically.

The way to prevent the rail cars from heading to the gas chambers that will inevitably arise when madness goes unopposed is to make the price for engagement in such racism cost more than what they stand to gain.

I would suggest that white supremacy is a threat, not to people of color, the majority of the world from the perspective of the supremacist, but to white people generally because we always create what we fear. When you fear your race is losing out and you think that requires violent remediation, that remediation against your own so call superior race will be the result.

We should all be aware, if we happen to be white, that the racists among us will get us all killed. Perhaps it is time to develope some sort of self defense against them for that reason.

But then again there is nothing new under the sun, as in we never learn from the past, which is probably why world wars have acquired numbers.

The democratic party has always been racist and still is racist. They fought against the union in the civil war. Were for jim crow laws.

Now they are using BLM to push their communist agenda. The democratic party is now pushing for racist affirmative action policies.
Dems and Republicans
No way America is more racist, 4% of Americans approved of interracial marriage in 1961, the number is now 94%: U.S. Approval of Interracial Marriage at New High of 94% (gallup.com) .

No way today is more racist. Still racist, yeah. But hell there were "sundown towns" as recently as the 60s. Dating someone a different color, big no-no. I would have scared to have my half-white kids brought up in many towns in this country back then.

Can you imagine different water fountains and bathrooms these days?

Anyone bleating "The Democrat party is racist" because of crap that happened a hundred years ago is an idiot. Labels change and parties change. Not that the Democrats are free of racism, but to say *they* are the racists when you compare the platforms and rhetoric of the two parties? Nope. Try again.

What has been happening, especially since Trump, is that the remaining racist roaches no longer run for cover when they are exposed to the sun. Lift their rocks and they stand there shooting you the bird. Used to be they'd pretend they weren't xenophobic, these days many don't bother. It's what MAGA is all about, going back to Leave-it-to-Beaver 1955 when darkies knew their place and pesky environmental laws didn't hamper industry, etc.

This video should be required watching for everyone in this forum. Shannon answers one of the reasons Republicans demonize CRT. It would force an honest discussion about this countries real history. Watch it and state where he is wrong.

First question in high school history class, "Was America found on freedom"? Honest answer along with the related lessons would take a month

We may have become more tolerant on an individual basis, but we are still deeply broken systemically in policy and practice that unfairly targets and punishes anything that isn't white, christian, and/or rich.

How do you square that with SCOTUS ruling on Roe v Wade and all the abortion bans we're seeing come up?

AmeriKKKa doesn't want to hear the truth because it doesn't want its illusions of AmeriKKKa destroyed.

Doncha know? Them Dems are racist because they keep promoting programs to help those who had been "the downtrodden" for so many years. It's racist to think those people can't possibly make it without government intervention. 'Murica can't be racist...why we had "one of them" for a president!

You link only has one guy Sen Mike Braun making stupid comments in an interview. Nowhere does it support a GOP movement to ban interracial marriage.

I didn't claim you lied. You do tend to exaggerate a little like here.

To be fair I think you'll get the same result if you framed the question like
- Are you OK with banning gay marriages
- Are you OK with banning Muslims
- Are you OK with banning Mexican rapist crossing the border
- Are you OK with banning leftish from owning guns
- Are you OK with banning certain leftish from voting
- Are you OK with banning <any of the groups we've been kicking down on in order to scare you>?
- Are you OK with banning jewish space lasers
.... and so on.

No, gay marriage is fine with me, doesn't effect me.

- Are you OK with banning Muslims

Just the terrorist ones.

- Are you OK with banning Mexican rapist crossing the border.

Yes, I do not want any rapist entering the USA.

- Are you OK with banning leftish from owning guns

No, 2nd ammendment.

- Are you OK with banning certain leftish from voting

No, all eligible people should vote regardless of DEM or Rep.

- Are you OK with banning <any of the groups we've been kicking down on in order to scare you>?

Need more specifics.

- Are you OK with banning jewish space lasers.

Yes, they don't need space lasers.

I know this is your MO, take Muslims and rapist Mexicans… you dont take responsibility for the dog whistle implied, that all Muslims bad and all Mexicans crossing the border is rapist. You do the math, apply a little set theory and yes, logically it checks out. And from that narrow perspective you’re right. But, if you look to your right and you see a dude in white, look to your left and there is a dude with a swastika chanting jews will not replace you… you must realize that these people have heard the exact same message as you…. and reached vastly different conclusions… Right?

If the party doesn't believe it show me where leadership denounced what Braun said as abhorrent, racist and anti-American.

BTW - There is more evidence, a Republican finally fessed up to attending an event hosted by a white nationalist and they said "so what". Once again no denouncement from leadership. I can assure you if a Democrat advocated for white hate Nancy and the rest of leadership would pounce on them in 2 seconds. Here she is waxing proud.
