If recall wins, replacement will be recalled after 2 month waiting period.
I like that. Call out the farce for what it is.

Received mine yesterday so keep an eye out this week. When did they send out the ballots? We haven't received ours yet.
Forgot I signed up for Ballot Trax, they just sent my ballot out today.Received mine yesterday so keep an eye out this week.
By the summary of the challenge I read, it makes no sense. Something about he's not on the list of choices. Why would he be? The choice is to remove and then who to replace with. Why would anyone vote to remove and then replace with the same person?

They'll get the signatures, that's for sure, but you might end up with a similar situation: High engagement for Republicans, while Dems may not be highly motivated to recall the first Black governor of California. Depends a lot on PR and whether Elder does things that offend the sensibilities of liberals when in office. If he governs as a moderate and reaches across the isle, I think he'll be safe. If he governs like Black Trump, then he'll get recalled immediately.

My ballot has been sent, but I am not in the state at the moment so I am not sure if it will get forwarded. Will be curious to see if it is.
Lol. People pretending that CA Dems would not immediately try to chuck Elder (who is a certifiable nut) are living in fantasy land.
The recall mechanics are dumb and and the Dem electorate not particularly engaged which has created the risk to Newsom. If Elder became gov that would absolutely change immediately.
Republicans would seize upon the win as a repudiation of Democratic rule in CA then get stomped into utter oblivion in either another recall or the 2022 state elections.

Just vote NO!constitutional - yes
legal - yes
unfair - yes
stupid - yes
It's the only way a republican can become governor in California, recall a Democratic governor. It's a power grab pure and simple. And check it: Diane Feinstein is 88 years old. If she should be unable to complete her term and some Republican is governor due to this recall farce (that would probably be Larry Elder, a MAGA anti-vax, anti-mask mandate mouthpiece) they would appoint a Republican to replace Diane and the Senate would flip! Power grab!!!Yeah it's really really stupid the way they have designed their system. Someone could be Governor with like 10 percent of the vote if the field is large enough and sufficiently split. Basically 49.99% of voters could vote to keep him and he gets out and then someone wins with like 5% of the vote or something stupid like that. Democracy....
