I fired up the video and I was kinda like "meh" while watching, but then I closed my eyes to just listen and immediately wanted to turn it off. So I did.
 
I think the list is accurate up to "highest note hit in a professional recording", but that could be misleading. It isn't sustained, nor is it entirely free of altering. And, it is missing close to a million singers. Notables missing are both Tim and his son Jeff Buckley which are supposed to be in the 4+ octave range.

And with that said, your octave range means very little when it comes to style, writing, and phrasing in songs. Sure, it is impressive when artists (mostly notable divas) hit those high notes, but if the song is crap, it is still well performed crap.

Good points and case in point was this song by Chris Isaak, "Wicked game", everyone wanted to hear it but it didn't fit into an FM radio "category" so it wound up getting played by AOR rock, easy listening and even some county stations were playing it and deserving so as it stuck like velcro on first hearing..https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5D3Nl1GZzuw
