Seattle sucks, move to Vancouver
Funny you should say that, after 15 years in Seattle, I'm going to be moving to Vancouver soon. I like Canada over the US plus the city is much bigger and has all the pluses of Seattle + more. Traffic is worse than Seattle's though. Now if I could just find a job there for immigration...
I don't know why everyone always thinks that. Vancouver BC is smaller than Seattle. Seattle has a city population of a little over 600,000 and a metro population of 3.2 million. BC has a city population of about 500,000 and a metro population of 1.8 million. In comparison, that other major city in the Pacific NW, Portland, has a city population of about 550,000 and a metro population of 2.2 million.
As for the traffic, that's because Vancouver's highway system is inadequate to the point of being a joke. Add higher taxes and a lower standard of living, and enjoy!

Yeah that's another thing, Seattle's downtown area pretty much shuts down at 6
You must hang out in the wrong parts of downtown.

The Seattle region is quite nice. Relatively high-tech place that's nice to live in. The best region is to the east of Lake Washington, around Bellevue and Sammamish. Very nice for middle class families. What's very interesting is that unlike other cities, Bellevue is a very nice suburb that's only 10 minutes from downtown Seattle, which is really awesome :)

Ya except some of the people there are fragging idiots . I once saw someone reading a book there while riding a bike. A BIKE! I sh!t you not.
