In the video, Luntz criticized conservative pundits and talk show hosts — such as Rush Limbaugh — for being too divisive.
“They get great ratings, and they drive the message and it’s really problematic. And this is not on the Democratic side. It’s only on the Republican side,” Luntz said in the video.
While national commentators were quick to point out the mildness of Luntz’ comments, he nonetheless expressed extreme disappointment with the fact that they were leaked.
He is as relevant as you are to the man thrusting at your rear.

Republican strategist Frank Luntz seems to think so.
Terrestrial talk radio station are becoming more rare as people stream their radio shows.
Talk radio in general is not that relevant to the population as a whole.
This is a good article. Most republicans high up the food chain know their party is fucked up, but for some odd reason, the idiot conservatives in ATPN think democrats and republicans are equally fucked up. Sorry, but there is no liberal equivalent of rush limbaugh, mark levin, ann coulter etc.
President Obama was just quoted as saying he can't get anything done in Washington because of Rush Limbaugh. Dunno how you can get much more relevant than that.
If he wasn't still relevant the OP wouldn't have posted the topic and CNN wouldn't have run the story.
if the standard is declining ad revenue, then what does that mean for the nations liberal news papers? most of which have had huge circulation and ad revenue drops.
Define SPECIFICALLY what you think doesn't exist on the liberal side and I will find the perfect match for you.

Are you serious?
I mean, are you really serious? There's no one on the liberal side like Rush?
There are any number. Define SPECIFICALLY what you think doesn't exist on the liberal side and I will find the perfect match for you.
There are no heavy hitters in liberal talk radio because they can't gather an audience. Air America was going to be the liberal answer to conservative talk radio, it went down in flames.
Why don't you list them then. You probably think Rachel Maddow is the Rush Limbaugh of the left. You are batshit crazy.

Limbaugh will fade away like Imus did but some of the diehards will still listen.
BTW: who still listens to AM radio?
You're the one who made the allegation.
List specifically your complaints and I will address them. Until you will put pen to paper you are just another partisan hack.
Rush Limbaugh is on the air in every major (and even semi-major) radio market in the country. He has over 10,000,000 listeners a week, who trust him not only for analysis but for "news". He has a significant presence in the conservative movement, being tightly tied to groups like the Heritage Foundation, which he plugs on his show every single day (no exaggeration). He gave the keynote address at CPAC in 2009.
More than that, he has a direct impact on politics. There have been cases where GOP lawmakers have made statements and then walked them back after Limbaugh criticized them -- even the head of the RNC. When the GOP won the House in 1994, Limbaugh was made an "honorary member" of the freshman class. He was ranked the most powerful political figure in a 2010 Newsweek survey.
When George H. W. Bush lost in 1992, the first person he thanked in his concession speech was Rush Limbaugh.
Now, who on the left even comes close to this? And please do not say Jon Stewart or Stephen Colbert, or I shall LOL.
