I can't be arsed to go through all these replies, but that does seem a tad unreasonable.
If it were me, I'd have just said "Get the hell out of the shower" or busted in on you with a super soaker full of icy water.

15 minutes in the shower is reasonable to me, and I also shave while I'm in there.
