<< ...if there is a change in the gene frequencies of a population then evolution is occuring, and by evolution i mean they are literally changing. >>

Give me an example and maybe I can clear it up for you.

So, if a parent breaks their leg some time during their life, has kids, and the kids all break their leg some time in their life, and so on and so forth, eventually the children will be born with broken legs?

<-------sorry, me thinks FFMCobalt have no idea what the theory of evolution says...Also, me thinks he doesn't understand genetics either.

my thought on this matter is also chimeric.

what hes talking about is Lamarck's theory which states the "inheritance of acquired traits" this was disproven by a guy who got a very large number of rats and cut off all their tails, then he cut off the tails of the next generation, and the next, and the next, and no rat ever produced a rat with no tail, so there you have it FFMCobalt doesnt have a clue

What does it matter? I mean, does anyone have a reference to where God demands one to believe in Creationism? Don't bother, you won't find a credible one. God doesn't care what you think on the matter! What God cares about is that you respect It by loving your neighbour first and foremost.

Creationism, what days are Holy days(for Christianity), the shape of the Earth, whether a heavy object and light object fall at the same or different speeds, or the position of Earth in relation to the Solar System and/or Universe is about as important to God as to whether you chew Juicy Fruit or Doublemint gum.

Don't wrack your brain on such inane matters. It will just burn you out and turn you into a Legalistic completely missing the point kind of person.

<< this link will take you to an explanation of what im talking about link >>

Whoa, that is a site on genetics. Did you have an example of something that you did not understand? I am guessing you are wondering how some traits are inherited?

No. It's perfectly OK to believei n evolution in my opinion. You can prove science and evolution. Religion can't be proved, its basically man's word written and repeated and conceived over and over, not based on any fact, substantial or not.

God is the greatest scientist that there ever was......he created heaven, earth, time, space and the entire universe. Guess you gotta to have faith!

"Evolution" has become a religious faith that allows the godless to hold a marginally plausible view of the universe.

Like any godless view, there are certain aspects of it that are grounded in Truth, but have been twisted by the godless in order to deny God.

Use Wisdom to discerne Truth from fiction, within the religion of evolution.

It is Written...."ask God, who answers with an open hand, and does not scold you for not knowing"

It's this biological ignorance that gets me mad. How can you even come into a discussion about evolution with this garbage?
Learn some real biology please.

<< ......he created heaven, earth, time, space and the entire universe >>

And you have the audacity to claim that you understand the methods used.

Puny human you know nothing! You refuse to believe the god given evdience of the methods used. Go ahead bury your nose is a foolish book. Blind yourself to the true works of god, nature and the world around us. It is only the scientist who attempts to understand the universe that we live in who are truly studying the works of god. Your book is the work of man and prone to all the errors of man.

<< It is only the scientist who attempts to understand the universe that we live in >>

This universe that we live in, is but a tiny portion of Creation, that is why Science has been riddled with error in its vision of how things work.

🙂

You have to start some where. Starting is the key, you have to walk befor you run. As long as you bury your head you can't even crawl.

As more and more evidence is accumulated, theories start to approach "truth." Many theories have gone by the wayside due to lack of evidence. Evolution by natural selection isn't one of them.

creaionism is a theory in the layman's sense of the word 'theory.
scientifically, creationism is a stillborn hypothesis.

the scientific idea of evolution is constructed upon observances,
tested premises, and is utterly falsifiable.

Anaconda,

Evolution is a theory which tries to explain how life progressed to this point, but it does not explain how life started. I also believe, to some extent, in evolution as to how life adapts and changes in new environments. We can see some of this happening with crickets in small patches of jungle isolated by lava flows in Hawaii.... in just a few decades, there are noticable differences in the crickets because of circumstance and in-breeding.

What I don't believe in is that evolution explains the creation of life. I beleive that life was created just the way the Bible says it was. Whether there were a perfect 7 days of 24 normal hours or 7 days in a hyper-expanding brand-new universe that was hurling a near light speeds so that the 7 days lasted millions (billions) of years (relatively)... I don't know. I do however believe that the Genesis account give a fairly accurate account of how and in what order life was formed. After that, I believe that everything would have been constant save the fall of man and the corruption of the universe, which started a chain event of corruption and decay... and one of the byproducts is the need to adapt.

Joe

you better take religion as a religion. Use it to enlighten your life and don't let it RUN yourlife. You know that christian religion has no scientific prove, religion and science don't mix. We live in a world of science. So its not wrong to for a christian to believe in evolution. Don't LET RELIGION RUN YOUR LIFE

<< Starting is the key, you have to walk befor you run. >>

Agreed.

Start with Truth....then your science will benefit your study of the universe.

🙂

And what truth is that? Is the christian origin story any more plausible than the norse, mayan, babylonian or whichever you want to talk about? What if you're wrong? What if you put your bet on the wrong horse? Hmmm?

The theory of evolution is still a theory. It'll take many more decades before we've found enough proof for it, or developed another, better theory.

And the all-time favorite questions: How was/were god(s) created? Out of which substance(s) do/does they/it exist?

If superstring theory is right, then everything around us is build up out of strings of pure matter and there will be 10 or 11 dimensions, of which 6 or 7 are curled up so that we can't detect them.
