Orgasm:

Orgasm (Greek orgasmos: lustful excitement) is the sudden release of muscular and nervous tension at the climax of sexual excitement.
The experience represents the most intense physical pleasure of which human beings are capable and is basically the same for males and females.
An orgasm lasts only a few seconds.
In sexually mature males, orgasm is generally accompanied by the ejaculation (Latin: throwing out) of semen.
In males, orgasm begins with involuntary rhythmic contractions of the genital ducts and accessory organs (vasa deferentia, seminal vesicles, prostate gland), the urethra, the muscles at the base of the penis and finally the penis itself.
The first three or four forceful contractions recur within less than a second, then, as they become weaker, at longer intervals.
As a result of these contractions, the accumulated semen is forced through the urethra to the outside where it emerges in several quick spurts.
At times, it may be projected a considerable distance; At other times, it may flow out rather gently.
The force of a particular ejaculation is not related to a man's strength or virility.
The amount of semen ejaculated during one orgasm is usually about a teaspoonful.
Repeated ejaculations within a short time produce less and less semen.
The contractions in the sex organs and the subsequent ejaculation of semen produce the most obvious signs of orgasm. However, it is important to remember that the whole body is involved.
The anal sphincter muscles contract at the same intervals as the sex organs mentioned above.
There is great muscular tension throughout the body, breathing becomes very fast, and the pulse rate and blood pressure rise even higher than during the plateau phase.

Oh gosh, I hope I do not get in trouble by the mods. Mods, if this is inappropriate, I will delete it.

After some curious Googling:
The G-Spot is a bean shaped mass of nerve tissue located about halfway between the back of the pubic bone and the top of the cervix. The G-Spot is the focal point of the female sexual arousal. The size and location of the G-Spot will vary from woman to woman, but it's usually about the size of a quarter, and lies two to three inches inside the vagina directly behind the pubic bone.

I have to look for my notes, but I will get back to you since I need to study for my final exam tomorrow.

Five types of orgasm for the women:
Type 1: very intense, deeply emotional orgasm. Originates in the g-spot and moves from inward to outward in waves producing a clitoral explosion.
Type 2: primarily g-spot orgasm. Often multiple climaxes.
Type 3: starts with mini-orgasms of the clitoris and moves into vaginal climax. Use of strong fantasy and mental images.
Type 4: primarily clitoral. Multiple climaxes.
Type 5: total body orgasm using breath alone. Not localized to the genitals.

Five types of orgasm for the men:
Type 1: has partial or no erection, full ejaculation, full orgasm. Orgasm comes in slow waves. Many emotions present. Often premature ejaculation occurs with partial erection because of overwhelming emotional passion.
Type 2: full erection, full ejaculation, with full orgasm. Sweeping chills and shudders, whole body muscle twitches.
Type 3: full erection, no ejaculation, full orgasm.
Type 4: no erection, no ejaculation, full orgasm. Heat waves rise up from genitals and spreads to entire body. There is a focus of energy which remains in genitals while body feels like it is on fire.
Type 5: total body orgasm using breath alone. Not localized to the genitals.

Please define "orgasm."

Type 6: Anal

Yes, I would consider them to be different. It feels different and is achieved through different means.

Ahh, but the medical data shows that it all boils down to a muscular and emotional release. That is essentially the core of an orgasm - "feeling different" doesn't translate into actual biological difference...you could argue that no two orgasms are identical. Achieving orgasm through two different means is inconsequential to the end result - an orgasm is an orgasm.

This means that the notion of two separate orgasms is in fact a socially created idea, not anything based in actual science - just individual (mistaken) belief.

Red you're back with your gf? Didn't break up? Sorry but the last time I checked you broke up with her or were about to. Anyway, congrats on being back together! (or staying together!) :D

Forgive my ignorance but it seems you're describing several distinctly different bodily processes here, all of which cannot possibly fall under the umbrella of "orgasm." We go from ejaculation to bodily relaxation. These are two VERY distinctly different things...are we supposed to equivocate Yoga to sexual activity?

i can guarantee there are clitoral and g-spot orgrasm differences and women do ejaculate, but they need to feel comfortable with their partner. as far as anal goes, my wife likes it but feels it is painful at first, then is heavenly for about 10-15minutes and then after we are done painful for a couple of days after, so we don't do that very often (we do it the correct way, lots of lube and SLOW). with the anal, she seems to like it with her stimulating her clitoris then the orgasm is literally bed shaking.

these orgasms can be achieved in many different posititions, but the most important thing is the women's frame of mind.

a little bit of advice - guys, you will always reach orgasm (unless you are on some drug, not necessarily illegal - like antidepressants) so get the girl done first and all is good. no matter how many multiiples my wife has, she is always willing and able for me to get started. always give the girl a headstart, you can easily catch up.

and know, my wife wouldn't care if she i posted this.

not always true, i have gone in her unprotected for upwards of 30 minutes, not fast, but not slow and havent ever gotten close. it weird, but normally happens right after a previous time i had gone.

and dear god am i surprised at this thread still being alive.

MIKE

maybe it has to do with some of the meds i take or my age (30+)

So what does it mean when a girl quickly grabs you buy the head and kisses you after he legs shake violently? While your down on her? Is that just a clitorial orgasm?

The reason she gets off on top is because women can control the clitoral stimulation much more precisely and work up to an orgasm.

However, orgasms can be triggered by other things, one of the surveys I read made note of the mental component of orgasms, one of their subjects had mastered the mental aspect so completely that he was able to achieve an orgasm by simply touching his penis once with one finger.

I don't know/haven't met any women with that degree of control myself.

The best part is the experimenting, Red;)

It's a myth that females have two "types" of orgasms - of course, guys would LOVE to admit that they can cause orgasm by penetration alone, but like it or not, 70% of women cannot experience an orgasm through vaginal penetration alone (guess what? A lot of women fake orgasms).

Interesting, if true. Are most of the orgasms that are spoken of here being accomplished through the use of finger stimulation?

Years ago I could actually do it without any touching. Took a long time though, so much so that I would say it wasn't really worth the effort.

It means she just faked her own orgasm and she's kissing you for effort.

Try it on your own with some lube or with a gf but she may not be comfortable with it. Some are though.
