Is it still crazy to scan 1000 magazines?

Yup but the purpose of this exercise is to make room by scanning the mags I have to PDF form. Since they don't have al of the years I have (I scanned the ones they have online) I will continue with my project

I don't think that is strong enough.

If you could slice off the spines, then it would be easy to scan those mags using PaperPort and a scanner w/ an ADF.
