Heh. But more seriously, in MA, it's "soda".

(And speaking of the 50's.. weren't they called "soda fountains" back then, too? And "soda straws", you know the actual ones made out of, gasp, paper?)

I'm going to have to apologize ahead of time for my relatives from IN, though, they still refer to it as "pop", although that's slowly going away I think.

EDIT: Actually soda isn't bad. If you say coke I'll st@b you.

Pop.....Michigan. When I was visiting a friend in Florida a few months back I mentioned pop and he gave me a hard time about it. hehe

It was soda when I lived in Southern CA but it's Pop here in Western WA. I prefered soda, but my vocab has been infected. :(

coke or soda, I've made my peace with the soda people, but will never call a coke a pop, it's like calling a cadillac a lac instead of a caddy. (Texas, voted coke)

when have you ever bought a soda or pop from a coke machine?
