Shouldn't this be, I don't know, your parents' decision and not yours?
my parents don't play the 'real' parental role, my dad is often not home until 8-10pm. and my mom is a nut case...been to the psych ward a few times(suicide, driving on the wrong side of the road , stealing from target, hanging out with my sisters friends without her, buying cigarettes for minors, and some other stupid crap I never even do)...like I said another story.
Playing the parental role would be properly educating them about the dangers of MySpace and other social networks, and the implications of releasing private information on the internet.
Just admit that you get off on controlling others and be done with it.
I thought it was hilarious at first, but now the fact they are getting pissed makes me realize that they think there is only one website on the internet to go on. My sister hasnt touched the computer since I blocked it. Isn't it not interesting that she is totally off it and getting some sleep, making it to school on time? It reminds me when my parents tried to quit smoking, how bitchy they got...I am just trying to unhook them from myspace.
So you leave your brother and sister uneducated about the dangers of social communities on the internet and continute to block the page.
So now what happens? They go on it at their friends house or at the library, and arrange a meeting with a hot "16 year old" boy or girl, and get abducted. Possibly beaten, raped, and/or killed. But hey! At least you blocked MySpace, right Mr. Mom
You're lucky your siblings aren't a bit more intelligent, because I can guarantee when I was their age and if a sibling pulled something like this with me, your computer would've suddenly stopped working after a capacitor would've been partially broken off, but looking functional. That's also making the rather large leap that I wouldn't have had the knowledge to circumvent the MAC filter.
Hell, they don't even have to be that intelligent to do this. They should take your router and throw it in the trash.
well, there goes there precious internet and my dad yelping about how he pays for the internet and it doesn't work. +1 beaten sibling...
