Interesting. Surely you can point me to a similar Republican investigation of the roughly two dozen women who have credibly accused Trump of a variety of sex crimes up to and including rape.

I can only assume that since it’s been five years or so and Trump confessed on tape that this is going to be a real barn burner. When can we expect it?

I imagine Kelly has realized that if the NYS AG’s investigation of Cuomo is legitimate then her investigation of Trump is legitimate, and Trump is in serious danger from her. So, to remain consistent and credible he has to oppose both.

This is a rookie mistake though, because the people who watch Newsmax don’t give a shit if you’re consistent on things like this. The consistency they crave is consistent fealty to their political sports team, not intellectual or moral consistency.

A does not equal B. One valid or invalid investigation doesn't establish veracity of every other investigation. In this case, harpooning Andy lends credence to the department, it increases their credibility.

It doesn’t HAVE to mean every other investigation is legitimate but from a PR perspective it’s hard to argue one is legitimate and the other isn’t.

From a reality based perspective of course both are legitimate - Trump's entire strategy is to lie and pretend one isn't and so this is entirely a PR effort because he's desperate to avoid indictment and his best hope is to intimidate state officials into not doing it.
