Is fish meat?

I had an argument with a coworker today about fish. Is fish meat or is it not meat. He says no and I say it is. Meat is muscle correct? Fish are not propelled around the water by electromagnetism they are propelled by muscle movement.

Muscle is meat. Which means fish is meat.

I think he meant it is not red meat.

No we discussed cows, chickens, ducks and goats. All are meat, and he agreed on that fact but when I said fish is also a meat he said no it's not.

That doesen't mean it isn't meat.

It is the flesh of an animal, it is meat. It is protein.

Meat can also be the flesh of a nut or fruit.
