I like the idea of these. I wonder if there's a version of these sites which provides auto-updates as well, similarly to Play.Don't know about that website, but you could always use other safe websites like the amazon appstore, operas mobile store or majorgeeks android section.

I use android cause I want a machine that's hackable. I have no use for google.Why don't you want to sign up for a google account? You're missing out on 3/4 of the functionality of Android.
