They seem to be the clothing of choice for young hipsters. But am I too old for skinny jeans and Northface this winter?'

hope not because I'm the same age and will probably be picking up a northface jacket soon.

Just go with low-rise <any brand> jeans. Unless you're trying to lock away a gut with mom/dad jeans....

North Face outerwear or anything above the belt is acceptable. Just watch the news, and you'll see a bunch of 40-50 year olds wearing the stuff.

If you're over 40, you should switch to a brand that represents what's going on with your body:

Clothing styles are so important to the young. Once the young age a number (10-20) of years they look back and ask themselves WTF they were thinking!

North Face is pretty good stuff. And if you actually require good gear for hiking, skiing or whatever, buy it. I mostly consider people buying Northface stuff these days as idiots.

I don' buy Northface because I don't want to be seen in it. Mountain hardware, etc is what I buy. None of this poser crap.

My mom had an old sweater jacket that was falling apart. Like 30 years old, which was really 20 too long.

I made her pic something new. Gave her a choice between a North Face zippy or a Columbia Zippy. She liked both but settled on the Columbia.

She's 60.

She does not wear the pants or shirts or anything a hipster would like.

Because a 60 yr old woman's fashion sense totally applies here...

I never knew the brand was big on posing and that... I have bought some of their stuff just because the quality is good and I liked the designs. That said, they're pretty overpriced in some regard.

I don't think you are too old for the brand, just ditch the hipster look

i wear the lighter clothing cause it's comfortable and looks nice. there's an outlet in berkeley, ca, where you buy gear for dirt cheap, especially on clearance days.

macguyver wore northface into his 60s (product placement in episodes of SG1 during discovery of antarctic gate)

if it's good enough for macguyver, it's good enough for you
