I like to hit up Macy's on winter clearance before it all gets picked over. Have to get there right when they open for the sale. Picked up many north face fleeces for 25 bucks. I've got some that are easily 7 years old that are worn constantly. No pilling and they look essentially brand new.

I don't think North Face jackets are for hippies. I see everyone wear them.

no matter how many "posers" wear it, north face shit is good. and those skinny jeans look like crap.

I don't care who wears the stuff, I love The North Face clothes. I have been buying their sweaters and things for years. They are good quality and look great. Love the brand.

North Face is WAY overpriced. But, if you find a good item on sale go for it.

Columbia offers the same product at 1/2 the price.

Generic house brands offer the same product at 1/4 the price.

Apart from basic fleeces, they are not the same product. Especially comparing TNF to a store brand other than REI/EMS/etc.
