Boo: alarm snooze button still missing when you have notifications present - you still can't snooze an alarm if you have pending notifications, you can only unlock the phone which turns off the alarm completely.

If you hit the power/sleep button, it will snooze the alarm. I wondered why I kept having my alarm go off again, and I realized that instead of unlocking the phone (to turn off the alarm), I kept hitting the sleep button.

Forgot to add one of the biggest "yays" of all: Not having to enter your password every freaking time you update apps or download free ones.

This doesn't seem to work for me. Now, I don't need to enter my password to update but I did have to enter it earlier to download a free app. A friend was talking to me about Passbook, and he mentioned the Target app, so I went to download it. It definitely asked me for my password!

Please let me put newsstand into a folder, I don't use it and am sick of looking at it.

What they need to do is add a section to the Settings menu that allows us to hide any unremovable iOS apps (e.g. Safari, Newsstand).

Oh, you mean the folder I named "useless"? :D

The only thing I've noticed is that you can set your status from the notification shade.

And you can post pictures directly from the photo thing. That's about all I figured out.

You can't put Newsstand in a folder.

That's unfortunate (just tried it). I have video/voice memo/game center/mail/safari all sitting in the useless folder. Newsstand is sitting right next to it on the very last page of my phone. It would be nice to hide them.

Yay - Siri for Ipad 3 (but some reason it keep giving me DC united score instead of Manchester United score), no more having to enter password all the time for app update.

Boo - No standalone youtube app yet for ipad (my sis was yelling at me where the youtube app...), map is not as good compare to google maps.

Interesting, haven't run into this yet. I'll have to keep an eye out.

Anyone else getting AWFUL performance on an iPhone 4 running iOS6?
Not here. I think it's either similar or else very slightly slower. However, I wonder if browsing may be slightly faster actually, which would make sense if the SunSpider Javascript scores are any indication (since I get about a 21% improvement in the bench).

ie. Not awful compared to iOS 5 by any means, but possibly slightly slower.

Although this isn't a productive use of the phone (as much productive when google earth first came out) I am really impressed with some of the 3d maps. The Portland bridges are captured right and even the submarine at Omsi is rendered. Kind of fun to explore around.

You can do it if jailbroken (in fact you can completely hide it), but then again who knows how long it will be before the iOS6 version is ready.

Pro:
My 4 is still as fast as it was (something that has never happend before in a iOS upgrade on my 3G and 3GS).
DND mode

Cons:
Maps
New pointless application (passbook) being forced on me. (put it in the app store!)
More integration for things that imho should really not be in a base OS (twitter, facebook, etc)

Well at this point aren't WP, iOS and Android all tied into Facebook and Twitter to some degree or another? I am not excusing it, but it appears to be what the people want. And as they say, 'Vox populi, vox dei: The voice of the people is the voice of a dog'.*

*Yes, I know that I mistranslated that.

Yea, I know it's going to happen, I just still think it's silly and that overall it hurts innovation.

How does integrating Facebook/Twitter/Yelp/Whatever hurt innovation? You either integrate it, or you don't. I'm not saying that it helps innovation, but I don't see how it hurts it.

I work in IT and I am on call 24x7. It requires that I sleep with my phone by my bed with the ringer on. The new mail tone drove me nuts at night until I turned it off.

My favorite feature is having the ability to have vibrate only notification for new mail. It works regardless if your ringer is on or on silent.

Why would you bother writing a facebook app or twitter app if the OS already does it? Sure some people will, but it basically puts a hurt on the app market for those types of applications. (Not that twitter already doesn't want you to stop making twitter apps).

Well, to the best of my knowledge, the only Facebook app is the THE Facebook app. And Twitter is hurting twitter app innovation all by themselves. The iOS implementation I think only allows for you to add things to Facebook or Twitter, but not read stuff from it. The WP implementation is a front end for the services and definitely makes your point.

Questions on the turn by turn navigation...

1) If I have music playing with the phone pause the music to make the turn announcement?
2) If I have the phone synched via BT to my car radio will it announce the turn over the radio?

For me, it is. Opening a text FROM WITHIN THE MESSAGING APP takes 5 or more seconds.
