I live in Cupertino and I think the map is fine. Mind posting a screenshot to show what you're looking at?

I moved away from the spot, but this was what I was looking at:

Notice how Apple's Maps look overly simplified, plus it's missing that turn at Lucille Avenue... and 2 churches... plus the middle school is now suddenly an elementary school despite there being the very same school on the other side of the block.

Heh, if you zoom out a bit, you can almost see my house. Ok two points.

1) The school thing is old map data. The middle school was established in 2005 on top of where the elementary used to be. That's bad nonetheless.

2) The "oversimplification" that many people post is debatable. If you zoom in you hit a threshold where you get much more detail (a random sampling of items in Google maps show up in Apple maps). I personally don't get the algorithm on when things should show up or not. I also personally think that the threshold is set to zoom in too much before things show up. It seems to be an attempt to keep things uncluttered (too much so). But again it's debatable. Apple wants you to see gas stations. Google doesn't render that in your screenshot. So Google did the same on uncluttering the map by neglecting gas stations at that level.

So it's all there, and it's "clear" as in "contains the data". But I think it requires zooming in too much to see it all. But if you were to use navigation (and it flips to that zoomed in 3D thing), then you see incredible detail.

What I really hate in Mail in iOS 6, is that it plays the "sent" sound before mail is actually sent. IOW, in iOS 6, the "sent" sound is completely meaningless.

keyboard clicks and lock sounds are distracting around people. i disable that immediately.

Yeah I was about to say. The new Youtube app is far better than the junk we had before.

Does the new YouTube app access your Save For Later list? I use that all the time if I come across a video while at work.

Not that I browse the web at work. Or spend time on AT. Of course not, perish the thought.

The new YouTube app doesn't (properly) work with AirPlay, doesn't support background audio playback and apparently doesn't have links to the Featured section. I'm not 100% sure on the latter as a friend complained to me about that, but I haven't corroborated it.

I use Jasmine on my iPhone 5 and iPad 2. It's a universal free app that has everything that I mentioned above. There is a pro version, but that just enables parental controls. I bought it anyway to support the author. :)

I am using Jasmine as well, and I really like it, but it doesn't give me access to my Watch Later playlist. I would have to add all those to a separate playlist to get at them.

What I kind of miss in Jasmine compared to Google's app are search suggestions and the ability to search from anywhere. However, I kind of prefer its minimalistic approach.

Maybe there's a way to suggest that feature though? I'm guessing that Watch Later is not much different than the Favorites list.

Yes but it's not super obvious. The top left corner unveils the account/channel menu where your subcriptions and feeds are shown. But to get the "save for later" you click your name and you can access uploads/playlists/favorites/watch later. So it's 1 extra click vs getting your home feed or a particular subscription.

I guess I'm more of a subscription person so I like Google's decision on this. Playlists and watch later are rarer for me.

I would certainly hope that is isn't much different from favorites, and as I remember I add it to both watch later and favorites. Maybe I will contact them, last developer I contacted got back to me pretty quickly (the develops of Track8, a Metro inspired music player for iOS)

Maybe I will check it out then. I don't subscribe to anything, but just being able to get at the Watch Later list is enough.
