This is what happens when a company has no competition in the desktop space. They simply can coast along and sell whatever they want simply because there is no alternative. This is why I never understand Intel/AMD fanboys...
You can bet your bottom dollar if AMD somehow pulled out a good desktop CPU out of their ass then Intel would suddenly find some extra performance.
I'm feeling rather disillusioned about desktop computing. Both CPU's and GPU's aren't really making the gains they used to. I'm a very sad panda.
Amen.
I'd consider myself a Intel Fanboi so to speak.
...a fanboi of the juggernaught.
What happens however when something no longer is a juggernaught?
What happens when your favorite team - sells half their players and starts playing a demoralizing boring way - but still winning by the thinnest margins?
Intel needs to deliver at minimum 15 to 20% raw IPC for each uARCH - including some major other new features or bumps as a whole.
There's a big cost to being my colour of choice - when your Intel's size.
...and i'm afraid they're not that interested in me anymore :C
