Like I said in the other thread. 14nm as of now has been tooled and design with low power consumption in mind and not high performance. Where all previous node has been a high performance part first. That is why Atom, and Broadwell will be the one that gets 14nm first where power consumption matters and not performance.

Intel will have another year to tweak their 14nm node process for high performance.
