Seems the 760P will range from 128 GB to 2TB and the 660p 512GB to 2TB

Seems like the 760P ranges from $90~ to $900~ pricing wise from TigerDirect. Rumor has it from a TomsHardware source that a 512GB QLC SSD(660p) will cost $100~!

QLC was a hot topic at CES last week, but only behind closed doors. No one wanted to go on the record, but we know IMFT (Intel Micron Flash Technology) has it ready for the most part. Companies are excited about the cost-cutting technology but need controllers to pair with it. One source told us to expect 512GB QLC SSDs for around $100.

Intel SSD 760p Performance Details Emerge

We found more details about the upcoming Intel SSD 760p (small p for flash, large P for 3D XPoint) in the form of a datasheet. All capacities will feature a single-sided M.2 2280 form factor. We suspected Intel would be able to build most sizes with the components on one side but were not sure about the 2TB model. The component side of the drive will feature a cooling strip to help remove heat from the controller and spread it to a larger surface. Corsair used a similar strategy that embedded a layer of copper between the product label and the adhesive on the Force MP500. The performance increases rapidly as we double the flash. The 250GB more than doubles the random performance and gets us near 3,000 / 1,300 MB/s read / write speeds. The three largest models—512GB, 1TB, and 2TB—share the same performance with 3,200 MB/s sequential read, 350,000 read and 280,000 write random IOPS.

On a more interesting note, it seems a source has informed TomsHardware to expect the 760p around early February.

You won't have to wait long: We reached out to some of our industry contacts and were told to expect to see drives in early February. (You can even purchase one today Taiwan if you know the right place to look.) We should learn more about the Intel SSD 760p sooner than later.

Searching shows a Bulgarian Newegg site, conversion makes the 760P drives 20-30% cheaper than the ones listed at TigerDirect. TigerDirect hasn't been the cheapest site from my experience.

128GB was going for $75 USD, 256GB for $111 USD, and 512GB for $203 USD.

Launch date seems to be February 13th.

I find the naming interesting. Higher than SSD 750. 750 uses an Intel controller, a datacenter one that was repurposed and optimized for client.

Although 760p looks like to be far frugal in power use, making it suitable for laptops, realistically I think 750 will be superior. 760p has better sequential read/writes, but 750 is really good for sustained and random IOPS. In fact, the random read is higher on the 750 despite the sequential read being lower by 33%.

Could be that naming is purely marketing and variants of Optane replaces SSD 750. Per GB cost of 900P for example is not that big from 750's.

We won't be waiting long if the launch is mid February.

So February 13/14th does look like the release date of these SSDs. Along with it, Optane SSD 800P, newer Optane Memory, and full 8th Gen Core lineup, which means that's when the real 300 series chipsets are coming.

This my 960 Pro 512GB with firmware 4B6QCXP7, Samsung NVMe driver on 16299.334.

The 4KQ1T1 read looks better on the Intel drive. Probably not enough to feel though.

Just checked the price, hard to justify the 960 Pro premium if these numbers are legit.

The drive arrived. I've had it running for a couple days. Will run the benchmarks tonight. It feels super snappy with regular use. Can't really tell the difference between it and my 512gb 600p side by side for general Windows usage. I have not installed the 128gb version in any system yet. I'll try to pop that into a spare machine this weekend.

and to check back mid next week as there are "several really good products coming next week"

Don't know it's good, but next gen Optane Memory should launch with the 300 series chipset. There's also mobile CFL chips. Though he could be talking about the chipset being good I guess?

I havent seen any more leaks on the 660p(such as listings), so I'd say it'll be a while on that front.

Interested to see what Next Gen Optane actually changes.
