If it can hit stock 4.2 then I doubt its a suicide run at 4.8 but it might involve custom water to get 4.8. If it does 4.8 on air or aio water I'm getting this on release.
That's skylake you're talking about, the above one AtenRa's talking about is Broadwell 😉

FIFY 🙂

The 4.8 GHz BDW is iffy to me since Vcore is blank on CPU-Z and the 1024M digit PI test wasn't run (so it boots and can run a sub 5 second bench) 🙄

How much of a boost is 4.5 broadwell vs 4.6,4.7,4.8 haswell?

Well you can roughly caluclate that yourself 🙂

Skylake Refresh next year. Will they call it Devil's Pond? Or Devil's Creek? Or SkyDevil's Locke.

I thought it was "Cannonlake"? ****, already U line at the beginning of the year? Sounds like BS.

They perform exactly the same at stock.

Nope - there are slight differences between the ultra budget and highend motherboards even at stock, has been for many years, though the gap has closed with Intel moving more and more components off the motherboard and onto the CPU die.

Even if Skylake is only 15% faster, clock for clock, over Haswell - a 4.5 GHz SKL will be pretty damn fast!

"Even if only" ???

It has not been established that the 15% figure that is being bandied about is even correct, let alone the figure being possibly higher.

Hehe, I'm hoping that map is not old and obsolete because it means I might be able to buy a Skylake refresh right before the 2016 Olympics. 🙂

Looks incorrect. 47W Mobile broadwell launched Q4 2014 according to that.

And both Braswell and Broadwell-E don't exist.

This was posted many pages ago, for some reason WCCFTech felt like it was worth another click-bait article. Expect many ''Cannonlake is delayed'' articles next year based on this (pseudo?) roadmap. 😛

Ugh...I'm getting so sick of wccftech..and look its spreading here..

I don't understand why sites like that get popular. They post articles that contradict the ones they posted the day before. And no one sees it. It's madness.

That chart is old and obsolete. UGH!
