The real problem is that we have a failed CPU manufacturer.Yeah, especially when they diagnose "you have a failed motherboard" like the always do on all of those failed CPUs....

Time to submit an RMA on the CPU manufacturer. The real problem is that we have a failed CPU manufacturer.
Exactly. And here today is what I suspected. Everybody is using the failed whats at the old bad settings against Zen 5.The real problem is that we have a failed CPU manufacturer.
I'm surprised too that they took Intel's word and included the Raptors in the benchmarks. There is no guarantee that the microcode will ever come out. Intel could come out with an announcement on 31st Aug saying that they have discontinued the entire Raptor Lake Refresh line of CPUs and from that point onwards, they provide random RMA replacements to whoever is lucky for the next two years and that's that.Exactly. the only company dell would ditch intel is for nvidiaDell used the same douche canoe language their sugar daddy Intel uses
THe issue? small ones are not safe and might switch to AMD to be safe.I figure that Intel is already taking care of the big OEMs, which is why the supply of RMA chips suddenly went away.
That, and I figure they are holding back on sending any more chips into the sales channel until the microcode fix can be incorporated.
Funny, though, that Intel isn't saying anything about how testing on said microcode update is going. If it looked like it was going to work in testing, I think we'd have started hearing some strategic "leaks" about it by now.
Single-threaded performance drops a bit and 5.8 GHz is almost invisible.
Jay testing new microcode
That's the real kicker. Plus it won't help anyone who wound up with a CPU suffering from oxidation, yeouch.TBD if it prevents unscheduled ring bus disassembly or not.
Once they notice the nice decrease in their power bills, they will write Intel off foreverOne said they are swapping out 250 desktops for AMD, and a couple of contacts in other offices are in the same process. If true, those are lost sales it will be hard to win back.
Or they check the forums, see people complain that newer Ryzen processors have lower power consumption while being faster and go back thinking that the stuff surely has to be worse than Intel after allOnce they notice the nice decrease in their power bills, they will write Intel off forever
