Since the other thread was started specifically for the Tom's preview article, here's a thread for actual review discussion. I'll add links to this post as more come out. If you see a review posted in the thread not posted in the OP just send me a PM and I will update.

I haven't seen the CPU in stock anywhere yet but will update this post when I do.

In stock at newegg for $570 and at amazon for $613.75

Not really true. As others have mentioned, it's only available from a third-party that has marked the CPU up significantly ($535 and higher). And that isn't even a 9900KS! Totally not worth it.

In stock and ships tomorrow. You're welcome.

Fyi, we were also talking about the 9900k. My response was to UsandThem on the 9900k. You're half reading post or just flat out unable to follow a conversation.

I already have all the CPUs I need. This is for someone else looking for one. You realize the title of this thread, correct?
Yes, I do, but that price is way over MSRP From Tomshardware review "Intel only assigns a $513-$524 recommended price for the chips". S $680 ????? Way overpriced for anybody.

Supply and demand. Some people use these CPUs to make money (their job) and some just want the best of the best. They will pay a premium for it. No reason to judge those people or question it.

I can question anyones opinion that I want. I have the right to say its way overpriced, and other have the right to waste their money. For $80 less, I can have a threadripper 2950x !

Bahahah that price. You've got to be kidding. Those are scarcity prices. Why not let B&H scalp instead of some eBay puke eh?

9900KS - scarce and price marked up
3950 seems to be in the same boat; 3900 was but seems to have eased.
No way to tell which one is more scarce but e-peen is probably even bigger to gamers than it is on this board so they'll keep gobbling up the 9900's regardless of how silly that is. Pride isn't intelligence-based.

As someone who has hunted both since launch when time allowed, I've seen 9900KS come and go many times, and only shadows and rumors of 3950s lol. I'd say there has been a lot more stock of 9900KS. Pure demand I'm pretty certain that 3950 would outsell it IF it were widely available. So far it is nearly vaporware, until they get wider delivery underway. And this is after talking to many MC staff from sales to management over the past 6 or so weeks.

I assume you mean by MC Microcenter ? I have seen numerous posts thats 3950x's were available and sold out. for days. So not vaporware, but scarce at the moment.

As for the 9900ks, if you want to pay 30% to 100% premium , yes you can get one now from a scalper.

Edit: also on the 3950x, I had one in my cart at newegg, and could not login quick enough to checkout, but it was in my cart for a few seconds.....

3950X definitely more obscure so far. We know on average it would be in more demand for DIY just judging on the rest of the lineup. But looking at eBay sales, 9900KS are only netting scalpers around 590-650$ for the majority of them.

3950X on the other hand nets well into the 4 digit range. And yet, fewer available at all.

Just checking a couple of times a day, I've seen 9900KS at MSRP perhaps 7-8 times in total. Hell, it's in stock at MC Dallas right now with a small bump from what I paid (569 vs 599). 3950X is sold out at every MC in the country.

See my post above. Intel said MSRP was $513-$524. I have never seen $569 amywhere, so good job there.

Oh, and when I had the 3950x in my cart, it was for $749 MSRP

Anyone knows when Intel stops selling the i9-9900KS?
Wasn't it only for the Holyday season?

Intel said:
What’s New: Intel today announced full details and availability for the new 9th Gen Intel® Core™ i9-9900KS Special Edition processor. Delivering up to 5.0 GHz all-core turbo frequency out of the box for the ultimate gaming experience, the 9th Gen Intel Core i9-9900KS will be available beginning Oct. 30, with recommended customer price starting at $513. This special edition processor will be available for a limited time only and can be found at retailers worldwide.

I have both AMD and Intel. I use the 9900K for my home editing machine (work is a completely different beast), but I've never looked into the KS version. I'm just not close minded and talk crap about other equipment. Noticed how you and DrMrLordX brought up AMD? But this thread is about reviews and availability of the 9900KS. My discussion with the other people was concerning availability.

If anyone here is a supporter..... So good job there!!!
