Funny (?) how close the resemblance is, between the Independence Day movie scene of the New York City skyscraper getting destroyed, and what actually happened some 4 years later on 9/11/2001.

First: wait, 17 years old? Dafuq? I *am* old, shit.

Second: just as long as he stays away from Stargate (he did the original movie, but 17 years of TV and a couple movies later, it's not his anymore).

Third: new actors? Um, the only thing that made that movie good was Will Smith, basically. I mean, good supporting cast and all (President Lonestar, BSG President, Adam Baldwin, the weasel-guy playing a weasel, the General being grumpy yet lovable, thankfully the drunk guy is toast, etc), but that was a summer action movie made the way they used to be done. With a big star holding it all together with his charisma.
