Incomprehensible mass shooting happens again

Something annoyingly paradoxical and self-contradictory about this event though. Insofar as pro-gun people can cite it as an example of how you "can't rely on the state, in the form of the police, to save you''. Because, clearly, the cops are useless and don't care about you.

The whole problem seems intractable and circular. Widespread gun ownership has a negative effect on police behaviour, which in turn makes people want guns.

Once the desire for guns becomes part of the culture it seems like it becomes a self-sustaining problem. The message I take from it all is that if you aren't already in that situation, under no circumstances let things slip and allow a gun-lobby to achieve critical-mass.
Don't forget external factors, it's very much in Russia's self-interest to keep pushing for a privately armed America. Great wedge issue, and now many conservatives worship guns and gold instead of Jesus. They give lip service to Jesus, but it's emphatically clear what's truly important to them.

Nowadays conservatives would pull their gun on Jesus for his wokeness. Try walking on water with good old American lead in your head you communist, socialist, lazy donkey Riding hippy. Give to the poor, do onto others …. lame woke garbage.

Sometimes I wonder how the outside world sees us
I was on a business trip to China and my wife called that there was a shooting at a bar near our house. They were all in the bedroom with the doors to the house locked and trying to listen to the news to see if they had caught the shooter.

It was odd trying to explain to the people that I work with in China "You know how we have these people in the states that just go and shoot up people, well we just had one of those near my house."

Many of us have "that mall where the mass shooting happened" in our city.

is it just the price one must pay for living in the most immoral country in the world? just watering the tree of freedom or whatever shit they can think of next that they think justifies their toys/insecurity? i have no idea but i am constantly appalled by this constant need to have a gun in your house or easy access to one

Can't remember if I mentioned this story before, but a coworker mentioned offhand how there's a firearm at home for protection. I almost, almost reflexively said "as long as you understand the risk that you're statistically less safe with the firearm in your home..."

But this being a coworker, I quickly stopped myself. Figured that would have gone over like a lead balloon

Mini moonie asking his mum “Am I worthy now, bitch?!”
I was shooting with my Dad by the age of four. Maybe the reason you feel a need to insult me is that your Father never helped you feel like a man. How do you not see you're the child aiming at me?

Shitlol

Just a joke, take it easy.

I'm an Air Force brat and a child of the 70s. My dad had me shooting & squirrel hunting at six.

Gov. Mike Parson signed a law barring state and federal law enforcement from investigating gun crimes.

He also expressed opposition to an outright prohibition of firearms for individuals involved in domestic violence.

Wanna bet he issues a statement it is too early to talk about guns and hopes this all blows over.

Just my prediction.

For those of you who labeled BLM as terrorists when violence broke out at some of their rallies, this was neither the fault of the NFL or the KC Chiefs. Those organizations are not thugs or terrorist groups.

Just making a point.
