I was discussing this with a friend the other day because Mark Levine was going nuts about it yesterday (he's a huge Cruz fanboy and his crow eating was magnificent). Yes, I don't agree with $15 min wage at all. But Trump is a genius for leaning even more to the center and picking up net votes as a result. Like I said, he's a genius and will play the percentages from here on out. He can change his mind 1000 times for all I care, the only thing that matters is that he not fuck up the SCOTUS noms.

Interesting, so you seem to be implicitly admitting that Trump has lied about the minimum wage on top of all the other things he has lied about but you're seemingly sure he isn't lying to you about his SCOTUS preferences.

That's pretty funny. Like I said you're an incredibly easy mark.

When Bernie is eliminated Hillary will move back to the center in the blink of an eye just as Trump is doing now. It's what politician's do. They alter their words to suit the polls. Personally, I hate it. But that's the way the game is played.

Most of what they say is pure bullshit because the executive branch has only so much power. But our media for the most part either doesn't care to, or no longer knows how to ask pointed questions. So we end up with the same horseshit election after election.

Trump ain't doing nothin' Congress doesn't go along with and the same for Hillary.

/this

Hillary will do and has done the same.

How will you know? Trump might claim to want to put in a liberal, a conservative, and/or a centrist. If he changes his mind so frequently, how will you know which one will be nominated?

Isn't this basically a guarantee that he will F up the nominations?

Edit, I see Eskimospy just asked you that, I should have read the whole thread.

I want to play poker against Trump. So many tells.

Fool! Trump is the greatest most eloquent poker player in modern history. He holds the best cards in his lovely hands that women admire.

Now being serious I doubt Trump gambles. Most real successful business guys don't gamble or drink.

I wonder if he supports price floors for any other products.

Trump has another new goal. Get one billion in donations. His people are speaking to lobbyist today.
I realize Hillary does this but she hasn't made it a point to say she doesn't.
Hopefully this campaign donation = free speech madness ends soon.

So in November he said that the country's wages are too high, now he says he's going to get people working much higher paying jobs???

Next thing we'll hear Trump is open to raising taxes.

So, he's not going to use his own money...surprise surprise, just another bought and paid for politician. Of course he'll claim he offered nothing in return.

This should be a problem for his supporters, but I realize that it won't be.

'He can't be bought!' ..... Umm... yeah, right.

Speedy before Trump endorsed $15 minimum wage: it's ridiculous and haphazard.

Speedy after: Trump is a genius!

Pathetic.

Come on you have to admit he got nominated and did not have to spend squat. He played the media, he knew how to pull at the strings of voters, any weakness he played off of.

He is the vietcong of politics.

Now he is going to pivot more to the left. Trump has never been a traditional GOP conservative to begin with. He could care less about gays, abortion and biblethumping.

The GOP was just an avenue for him to get on some ticket.

Hey, take it however, but the guy isn't a career politician. I would expect his positions to evolve on some things. He's learning how to run for president. On the job training....the apprentice.

Which makes it abundantly clear how unqualified he is for the position and its responsibilities.

A candidate moving to the center after securing the nomination. Nothing to see here.

Hillary will veer to the right prior to the general election.

true he is learning .. Trump seems to know how to get things done. He knows how to get the right people to get the job done. It was just a few weeks ago that Trump interviewed with Chris Matthews and then blew Wisconsin to Cruz. Just about everyone said no way he gets 1237. A brokered convention is inevitable. What does Trump do? He hires Paul Manafort to help his campaign and a few weeks later here we are ...1237+ all but assured.
