There's a ruddvuckers around the corner from my house. Good, but much more expensive... INO is like $4 for a meal. $4 is an order of fries at ruddvuckers.

My waistline is thankful that the closest In-N-Out burger is in CA.

However my tastebuds crave a double double animal style!!!

I concur, your bro is wrong there dude. Fatburger is pretty good, but nothing can touch In N Out!!! NOTHING! At least, not for the price they serve their stuff at....
there's a place here named 'Canada Steak Burger' that gives In-N-Out a run for their money. they make 6 and 8oz. steak burgers, using prime rib for the meat, and adding in bacon, cheese, pickles, lettuce and tomatoes. disadvantage: theres only 1 location, and its in the slums. so, in-n-out still walks out as the champ
and do they charge less than $4 for an entire meal?
$5 actually for the combo (fries and a drink). but as far as quantity, i would put it on scale with a double double, and a double double combo is a shade under $5, so not much of a difference there. still, if i had a decision, id go with in-n-out, considering i dont feel like getting shot buying a burger

I GOTTA get them franchised...or at least to expand to the East coast or I'm gonna have to move back to CA.

I eat there almost every meal when I'm out there...

I hate you.

The nearest In-N-Out is like 2000 miles away

In n out is so good because of EXCELLENT quality control..

I have a friend who's close to the president of in n out (it is a family run business btw, not a franchise)

In n out started in SOCAL, when they opened their first store in norcal, they had some issue with the bun. The president felt that the bun quality produced in the norcal factory is not up to par with the socal ones, so guess what he did? they SHIPPED the buns for the first 4 months from socal, and the president stayed at norcal for 4 months just working on the bun factory to make it the same as the socal ones...

now that is what I call excellent quality control..

I would have to give another thumbs up for their service. My friend once went through their drive through, ordered, and was ready to pay but checked his pockets and forgot he left his wallet back home. Told the cashier what happened and the guy just told him forget about it and gave him the food. They're real friendly too.

I  In N Out

Yeah, I like Fudd, but their prices are a bitch. Excellent burgers though and the world's best buns. That's the problem up here in the NE, we have a couple of Fudds and the McDonalds/BK/Wendy's trio, but nothing in between. There are no other burger chains that have reasonable food and prices. Damn it, now I desperately need a burger and fries, should not have skipped lunch.
