In and Out is underwhelming

I used to live in Missouri, where In and Out and Jack in the Box don't exist.

Here, they do. Redding, CA is afflicted with these horrible places.

At In and Out, you can select your item from a startling array of choices, including, a hamburger, cheeseburger, and double chesseburger!

Once you order, you'll watch the excessive staff of 50 take 10 minutes making the masterpiece.

Then you'll be presented with:

A mcdonalds cheesburger
fresher
with lettuce

Jack in the Box is like burger king . .. only horrible.

Dont insult In and Out. They make one thing and they make it good. I wish i was back in cali so i can eat in and out. man...

I thought you were talking about the movie with Tom Sellek.

I just spend 5 minutes searching for a "macho man" wav file, but couldn't find one. Oh well.

Never had anything from I&O. I went walking through inglewood (sp?) LA looking for one, though. Bad idea to have two young people dressed "expensively" (and a hot redhead with two perfect big ol'... well, you know) and walking around alone at 11:30pm.

We never found one and thankfully didn't get killed.

I have to disagree. Growing up in So. CA, and having lived in WA for 10 years, I truly miss In and Out. Simplicity is not necessarily indicitive of poor quality. I crave double doubles sometimes. 🙁

Why do they require so many employees to make such a small and simple sandwich?

Even if the thing was bigger, it also seemed excessively greasy.

I've never been to one, but I know some fellow New Jerseyans who've gone to the West Coast and got suckered into going to an In and Out, and they reported the experience to be underwhelming as well... better than Burger King / McDonalds, but who eats a franchise burger when there are 24 hour diners on every corner?

(not literally, of course, but I can't drive anywhere without driving past at least 2 diners)

I'm so glad I'm not the only one disappointed with In and Out. What the hell is the big deal? Every time I pass that place, the line is out the door! The hamburger is very mediocre. It's a normal hamburger, with a salad on top. The simple menu and cheap prices are cute, and the shakes are pretty good, but I don't get the hype. I think it's a great sociological study on group think.

Hey man... don't dis the Ultimate Cheeseburger or Jack's Spicy Chicken at Jack in the Box. I'm sorry to hear that the branches near you suck so much.

I thought Jack in the Box was shut down for spreading e-coli or something?

do you guys fvcking smoke crack or something? do you prefer your steamed white castle hamburgers or somesht?

in n out hamburgers are better than 95% of all hamburgers out there

there's only 4 things on the menu because that's all you f'n need

why would you go into a burger store and buy something besides a burger

innout > *

calling innout mediocre is like calling a porsche911 slow

and the fries.. good lord, those are beyond disgusting. its a seriously over rated place. their burgers are passable. not restaurant quality or anything, more like.. um.. cafeteria quality. school lunch burger. place is overhyped.

In-And-Out is great. I'm from Canada, and whenever I'm in the US on business and there's a In-and-Out there, I always make a visit. Fantastic burgers. Fatburger is also pretty good.

Wendy's makes a better burger than in and out.

And better fries too.

I can't stand Wendy's hamburgers. Their quarter pounders are tiny and the meat has zero flavor. Blaa

You're just bitter because you don't know how to order from In & Out.

My personal favorite, animal style 3 by 3 and animal style fries. Try it sometime.

Thank god

I had to buy the song, download it, record it with What U Hear to a wav, then compress the wav. Sounds like crap, but it's still funny!

I listened to it, just to be nice. 🙂

Thank you, I was bitching to brad on AIM that no one noticed my hard work!
